Had a problem with the mix on this video. Ran Casey's voice through a 350 watt Peavey P.A. Played the tuba acoustic. The little room rang like a bell so no way to get a decent mix.
If any of my tuba tootin' buddies have some one to sing. This can be a fun duo.

Yours truly with my buddy Kurt Schnieder on harmonica, sailing my boat home from an expensive trip to the repair yard. I am using the Martin Backpacker as a boat and car guitar these days.
I had the empty wallet blues and no cookies to munch on. Did find some MRE's aboard. Entree was O.K. but the M&M's had turned to powder. sad

I have played tuba since high school. I am a much better tuba player than I am a guitarist. My tuba was made in 1940. It's a year older than I am.

The Saints have to go back to Seattle after being blown out there a few weeks ago.
I'm hoping the previous experience with the electrically augmented crowd noise can be compensated for and victory achieved.

Been playing since time began.
I work on two or more new songs at a time. Lyrics are usually the problem. I jot the lyrics down on a small piece of paper with chords in red ink. As I go about my day, I pull my note out of my pocket when I can't remember a line. As I get bored with the first tune, I work on the second until I get bored again.

Bar bands in Mobile, Alabama back in the day used to call that the "Blue Moon turnaround."

Sounds like the grooves on the nut at the bottom of your guitar neck are not cut deep enough to let you play easily low on the neck. A fix is to cut the grooves deeper. If you cut down too deep you have to install a new nut and cut again.
One groove on my Gibson's neck at the nut wore down too deep. I slid a toothpick under it and broke it off. It did the job until I had a chance to glue in a new nut.

I like these. Make sure you screw them into a stud.

Saw a stained fretboard last week. Places where the strings touched the wood when played wore back the original light color. It looked really bad.

Victor Wooten plays a Fender four string bass. Nuff said.
I've seen tubas with up to seven valves. Mine has three.

I started with a recording of a song I wanted to learn. I played the record and found the first note on my guitar, played it again and found the second note. Kept at it until I found them all. It took two days to figure out my first song. I sped up with repitition and now, after copying the lyrics, I can find lead and chords to most tunes in just a few minutes.

Are you thinking about Tom Dempsey who kicked a league record 65 yrd field goal?

That's the guy!  I think that record still stands, doesn't it?

Dino 48, Russell Harding is correct. Tom Dempsey with half a foot kicked a 65 yard field goal.
