Sorry to hear about your mom Rick.  I lost mine two years ago this month.  It still hurts some days.

dyslexic was my first thought also.  It could be a very mild form.  My grand daughter has a mild form where she cannot tell B's from D's, but that's it.  She is in high school.

I had a chance to play a seagull a few weeks ago.  I want one.  Check them out.  Check the pawn shops.  sometimes
they have no idea what they have and you can get a deal.

Hope your wife is alright.  I broke my back six years ago on the job so I know what she is going through.

lol I haven't done that for a long time either.  Once they get in there they sure don't want to come out.  If you left enough of them in you could shake the guitar and use it as a percussion instrument.:)

Happy Easter everyone.  Hope it's a great one for you.

That's a tough question, but the one song I play every time I pick up my guitar is house of the rising sun.  It must be the one that speaks the loudest to me.

Hi and welcome to the site.  I am a newbie here myself.  65 here.  I like to play 50-60's music.
When I get together with friends they play country, bluegrass and folk.  So I do a little of a lot of styles.
I have only been playing about 18 months though.  Still learning.  My local praise team is trying to get me
to come play with them.  I am thinking about trying it.

Thanks guys.  I'm working on it.  I play every day.  I Have a group of friends that get together and jam, that helps push me along.

Hi everyone,
I am another fairly new player.  I have been at it for about a year.  I am 65 years old and retired.  Been working on chords and barre chords.
I think my weak point right now is theory.  I need to work on it.

I had the same problem and am a fairly new player also.   I bought some snarling dog brain picks.  Weird name, great pick.  it has a raised crosshatch that keeps it from slipping.
