Tig,
you never cess to amaze me at how quickly you able to turn songs out! You are truly gifted in this area!  Another great song!  One suggestion though .....in the chorus the line  "She always knows how to make me feel just right" I would take out the word ALWAYS because when reading through the song, its  talking about a girl who hardly knew the guy and who asked him to stay.......... so as the song goes along every time the word ALWAYS comes up, to me it sounds like she has known him for a LONG time.  Hope that makes sense what i am trying to say.   Otherwise, great song smile

My baby is 24 years old and yep this song definitely hits the `feelings` button.  Well done Tig.

Oh my gosh ........... look at you? in all that gear!  No wonder you are able to fish in FREEZING temps!  Mind you ... right gear or not, you still have to be super KEEN to go fish in those temps!

I can relate so this beamer!

Last week I attempted a song of Tig`s that I have been learning and playing around with. Because I am not so great on the guitar, I asked one of my sons if he would record me on his proper sound equipment, hoping to add other music to cover up my bad guitar playing, to which he said yes.  All good and well the thought!  HOWEVER  trying to sing without playing and playing without singing so he could record me so that he could add drums and other instrumentals ......completely through my timing out!  I am so used to singing in time to either my ukulele or  guitar or cajon or whatever instrument I using.  After many attempts apparently sometimes I was coming in on the right beat, at other times, late, or very very late (he named all technical jargon about it - puffffft).  So he reluctantly resorted to plan B which was to record me whilst strumming the guitar .... hmmm my timing was still out to the drum beat!  So,  I have learnt that when I sing certain songs, I have invented my own unique timing that no one can follow, it doesn`t follow any rules of timing whatsoever!  Recording session ended with NO RECORDING!  Think I have been politely told! lol

TF ........... that last photo positively made me shiver!  I love fishing, I love my  kayak which is set up for fishing .................but no way jose am i going out fishing in SNOW!!   If you ever get to NZ and want to go trout fishing ...... Taupo is the place to go smile

We will be running this is a similar vain to last month.  We are looking again for TWO SONG Suggestions for the month of May.
We are wanting ONE SONG form the 1970`s and ONE SONG from the 1990`s.
It can be ANY SONG once again of YOUR CHOICE.  A favorite band, group, solo artist, genre .... the choice is YOURS.
Enter your suggestions, as many suggestions as you want, they will ALL be entered no matter how many songs you enter, the more the better.
Songs will once again be Put In The Hat for the two winning songs to be chosen.
Now get started and suggest LOTS of songs!

Ok, here we are in the month of April already!
Song suggestions were to be from the 1960`s and the 1980`s era.   Your Song Suggestions came in, they were Put In The Hat and then randomly pulled out.   These are the Two Songs that came out of the hat.

1960`s -THE WEIGHT
From Wikipedia:  "The Weight" is a song originally by the Canadian-American group The Band that was released as Capitol Records single 2269 in 1968 and on the group's debut album Music from Big Pink. Written by Band member Robbie Robertson, the song is about a visitor's experiences in a town mentioned in the lyric's first line as Nazareth.

1980`s - JACK AND DIANE
From Wikipedia:  "Jack & Diane" is a 1982 hit rock song written and performed by American singer-songwriter John Mellencamp, then performing as "John Cougar." It appears on Mellencamp's album American Fool. It was chosen by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) as one of the Songs of the Century. The single spent four weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982, and, to date, is Mellencamp's most successful hit single.
According to Mellencamp, "Jack & Diane" was based on the 1962 Tennessee Williams film Sweet Bird of Youth.[2] He said of recording the song: "'Jack & Diane' was a terrible record to make. When I play it on guitar by myself, it sounds great; but I could never get the band to play along with me. That's why the arrangement's so weird. Stopping and starting, it's not very musical." Mellencamp has also stated that the clapping wasn't supposed to be included in the finished song. It was recorded with the clapping in order to help keep tempo and then it was to be removed. However, he realized the song did not work without it.

Welcome to Chordie Marshel,

I have no experience with CT but have heard it is very painful, so I hope you have a successful and speedy recovery from your operation.
Glad you have taken a look in at FSOTM and hope to see you join in there, hopefully in the near future playing your guitar or banjo smile  Feel free to join in anyway with suggestions, votes or comments in general anyway until you are able to play again.
I know we have another banjo player here in Chordie and that would be easybeat who gets his banjo out from time to time.

That was awesome BDG, a great cover by you but then I kinda expected it to be good from you smile  Your voice sounded great, nothing wrong with it, you didn't sound sick at all.

Oh so good you guys!! what a great thing to do, collaborating, bringing talents and idea`s to fruition and opposite sides of the world to boot! Just awesome!

I thought 'Tango' was just brilliant, posted comments on Sound cloud ..... that was such a fun song, upbeat, could dance to it, just a happy song,  ............ I will now look at campers with a different perspective! and your all to blame  haha.

Buddy was very good too ... 2. 32 minutes to be exact lol.  Great team effort you guys, should be proud of your selves smile

Phill that would be awesome to join in singing or something ..........but alas no multi-track set up for me ..........i do confess to owning a RC 30 Boss 2 track but haven't a clue how to use the thing lol.

Hi Jim, left comments on Sound Cloud, great song written by your once again smile  I have to say, i think i prefer it sung with the chords of the first song rather than the G chord, i thought it may have been a little to deep for you voice?  where as the original song the chords seem to suit your voice better ..... just in my opinion smile  But either way great song, lyrics fab once again smile

Anymore suggestions?   I thought there would be heaps of suggestions as plenty of great songs from these era`s.
