I guess you are not from the UK because we don't use the term emo much (although you might be). My favorite UK Indie bands at present are Snow Patrol, Bloc
Party, Franz Ferdinand and Razorlight

Hey try some Canadian bands like The Guess Who, or Backman Turner Overdrive, Rush,Chillawack,Sam Roberts,
Sloan,The Tragegley Hip,Sam Moon and the Universal Power,
Matt Minglewood, Just a few great classic rock bands.

hawthorn heights is the craziest emo band i have heard lately
rush is prob my favorite band
their is also trains and clouds that u can look up on myspace music
their not bad

and recommend plain white t's, motion city soundtrack, sugar cult, senses fail, mobile, yellow card, red jumpsuit aparadis, the summer obssesion, relient k and letter kills and i am absolutely in love with a band called paramore whose first album called 'all we know is falling' is totally awesome, u might no some of these bands but i dont no where u live so its kinda hard but all this is only my opinion so whateva      amy
