UJB you got a good duo going there  excellent sound.  Zurf man your a champion  I like your style of playing guitar and the laid back way you do your vocals.  Easy Beat must have known somethinng when he challenged you to do Smoke On the Water . Yours is a good fun version.

Yeah I was really bummed when you said you had to leave. I didn't think about it at the time but the owner's wife has migraine pills and I have no doubt she would have given a couple up so you weren't driving home with your head pounding.

I just need to remember to put some Imitrex pills in my travel kit. I was bummed to leave. I had been looking forward to that trip for a long while and was having a very good time.

Well I sat down today and listened to all the contributions so far.

unclejoesband ............. though I  have seen that before but it was great to watch and listen to again.  So good how you two have teamed up and are playing together regularly.  Your friend is pretty good on the guitar with all the finger work he`s got going on that`s for sure.  How about doing a new cover for us from one up the top Joe?

Zurf .................... well you deserve a medal for all those songs, very impressive.  I listened to each one and I have to say on everyone one, your guitar playing seems to have really excelled.  You have always been good on guitar but I just could really hear in my opinion,  a whole new level in your  playing style.  Wish I could play like that.  Well done on all the songs you performed.  Have to confess to not knowing a couple of the songs though, which is good, its great to hear new songs.  Will try to leave comments on sound cloud when I next log on there.

neophytte .....  another song I don`t know but I like the sound of it.  You sung it very gently and nice gentle guitar work went well with it.  I will have to look up the original.

Ok keep them coming folks ......... any of you others keen to attempt some of these songs?  Don`t forget to post feedback / comments for people who attempt these songs smile

Thanks Jandle. The difference is that I played those sober and relaxed on a Saturday morning when no one else was home instead of half in the bag in an evening squeezed in between laundry, dinner, dishes, errands, and homework help.

I am not familiar with this song. Well, I guess NOW I am...LOL. The music behind it put me in mind of Jim Croce's Age.  I think you sounded real good on this one Neo. Good voice, good picking, and you synched it up well. Well done, and an interesting song too. I think I left a message on your Youtube channel too.

Love the description - probably most everyone on here - so busy - yet chordie is the place to somehow escape and relax - have some fun along with the interaction.

I have have been ridiculously busy and am just managing to be able to comment here to keep in touch.  I have had no time to play much or write at all.

hopefully soon things will calm down.   I enjoy listening to all of you who post these songs - and I am jealous of your abilities.

Gee I finally had a little look at some of these songs last night for me to do and *cough* they aren`t that easy are they lol.   Then again my guitar and ukulele playing isn`t anywhere the standard of you lot!!! Talk about pressure!!! lol.  So I  have come to the conclusion, you all know I am a very basic guitarist / ukulele player, so to heck with it, I will give a couple a shot even if I cant do the fancy picking, fancy strums etc.
Hope to attempt a few over the next couple of days *fingers crossed*

Neophytte ,I haven't had a chance yet to listen to your latest entries but will endeavor to tomorrow.  Time has just gotten away from me this month.

On a completely different note, looks like I am out of time to enter this months songs as we have had a death in the family that is quite close to us, so I will be unable to get something entered before the end of the month, although, I may come back and revisit this months and attempt something later on.  Such great songs on the list.

That said, just a heads up that next months FSOTM for March will be a few days late getting up as I will be away due to the family funeral.  Will do my  best to get it up as quickly as possible on my return.
