Topic: April 2024 FSOTM - anything!!!

The April FSOTM was really open to anything at all; there were some suggestions of words which were suggested:

Peatle suggested: Shop, Life, Bus, Home

Jandle suggested: Lazy, People, Old, Dream

And ... (because I was running late), easybeat has already posted a song in the suggestions thread, which I'll reference here:

You can really enter anything this month, there are no word restrictions ....

Look forward to hearing other entries!!!!

Re: April 2024 FSOTM - anything!!!

Ok, I got this one I did last month at the Merriwa club. It has:

"... When older we all get our life is slowing down ..."

" ... with life rushing by ... "

Re: April 2024 FSOTM - anything!!!

Good one Richard I liked the way you held the audience attention no noisy background chatter just the sound of you and your guitar. If you had a harmonica player join you on that song it would have lifted it again to another place but still it was good as it is. You and Brian have set the bar high this month.

Re: April 2024 FSOTM - anything!!!

Hi Richard. I have nothing at the moment but songs are like busses there'll be another one along in a minute.

How about a song about busses? The wheels on the bus....no I think we'll skip that one?

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: April 2024 FSOTM - anything!!!

This is my entry for this month a song of mine from years back. Apologies for my vocals and piano playing but hopefully it entertains. It has got the word life in the lyrics.

easybeat, great humor in your song about Old Men.  I could visualize it quite well lol big_smile  Also, interesting the guitar strum playing with this one, made it interesting.

neophytte, that was great, I liked that one.  Is that one of your originals? Also, the balance was good on this one, i.e  your guitar playing didn't overrule your vocals, so it was easy to hear your vocals this time.  Nicely done.

Peatle, it wouldn't let me comment on Soundcloud for some reason.  Anyway, I remember this one of yours as I remember the piano playing in it which was great and really added to your song.  Great lyrics and message in this one, nicely done.  Was it your Marie playing piano?

Hi, I just tried to enter my new song "Another Night" about a stag party but PUNBB wouldn't allow me so it's not there. I cant upload the recording for at least 2 weeks. sorry if you feel as if you're missing out, I bet you're not?

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

I thought the piano and vocals suited this song, can imagine it being played in a smoky bar late at night, with the overhead fan turning slowly as people muse their lives over a shooter of whiskey ....

Thanks, yes, one of my originals. Glad the balance was good, when I performed this song, the microphone was playing up, so had to stop and start again, so glad it got there in the end!!

The FSOTM doesn't close at the end of the month, so even if it's not available this month, look forward to hearing it!!!
