Topic: FEBRUARY 2026 FSOTM - SURFING, SKIING, GOOD TIMES

There was only one suggestion for a song relating to the theme of Surfing, Skiing and Good Times ... so anything along those lines is acceptable. Write a song, do a cover, what ever yo feel like.

Really good Richard, all round.  Great performance.  Did you have a portable power pack for the microphone?  And how did you manage to have a moving video whilst you were performing? I liked the wooded surroundings too.

Thanks .. yes, I've bought a variable converter adapter for my tool batteries (Ozito) which powers the desk (18v battery -> 12v input), and that does all the audio, the video is set a fair distance back and I crop it in iMovie and apply a Ken Burns effect to do the heavy lifting between two iPhones on tripods. The set-up / take-down timing varies, but it's about 15-20 minutes each end - when I did the session at Perry's Paddock it took about an hour and a half to arrive, set up, record multiple versions of three songs, and take down again ... I was timing it as I had to get my washing on the line and it's about a 20 min drive from our place.

Well it worked and it was a job well done.  When I get back from holiday I will look into those a bit more.

This is a wonderful song - I think it may best vocal of all your songs.     Video component is terrific - loves the fade outs /fade ins.    Bird sounds are an awesome addition as well - such a beautiful place!
