Its interesting to note how many songs and artists from the late 60s and early 70s are still young and olds favs today
        over 50 years old.

All a matter of taste.Im trying not to be too critical until I have reached perfection.
Im sixty years old and nowhere near perfect so it could take a while

Simon&Patrick are excellent guitars Sound wise an SP6 will give any  $1500 gutar a run for there money.
They really do have incredible sound and quality for the money.

Does anyone have a chord progression for the song Mr Monday by the Original Caste same group who did original One tin soldier

They are a very versatile guitar and as such they have been used for many many years by many of the most famous guitarists of our time Because of this many of the guitar pieces particularly in rock and a fair number in Blues have been recorded with Fender Strars or Teles. these guitars have a unique sound to them, everyone recognizes the twang or solid body screaming run of a fender guitar.
I do not play one but they ARE the guitar sound you love in 75 to 80 percent of the great rock solos you recognize .And the only way to get a real true strat sound and certainly the easiest is to play one.

The other 20 25 % are Gibsons Les Pauls  SGs  etc etc same story different sound.

Both great guitars and the mainstay of Rock and Blues

Try a VOX Valvtronix Amp.

Best site on the Net..

Well I saw this and though its old Im adding this.
I am a solo acoustic and singer You can use any of the topline pickups in your acoustic they are all OK I have a TAK witha CTB4 in it and its OK.
However lets not forget regardless what kind of pickup you put IN your guitar the sound you are listening to is out of the guitar and into the air when you hear it.
The truest acoustic sound you can get is obtained by Micing your guitar.
If you rplaying alone and not in an overly noisy environment you will obtain a very true satisfying sound that is nearly impossible to get from even the best of pickups.
Get a directional mike. many are made for this purpose. Try a Shure SM 57, may suit, they arent too exspensive, and you may be very pleased with the sound.
They are also a great vocal mike for lead singer in a group as it cuts out sidebleed from other noise, voices instruments etc stay away from ball shaped heads Look around there is lots on the market.

Yep its better, as for oldies Im stuck in the era from the 50s to the early 80s .

Could have something to do with my age............................

Thanks

If your fingers are a little large or you may or may not find it easier to barr your dge with your third finger by hyper extension
So your bending your third finger back or up so just the front of it rests on the three strings leaving the high e open
This will not happen overnite either but it is commonly done and you may find it easier to move the form up and down the neck
If however your fingers do all fit in there ,you are I believe better to use individual fingers because of quick access to 7th etc etc....

I am looking at the song Memphis ....long distance info etc...
The first chord is listed as a G and then it is marked  I     2
I have no idea what that means if someone can help me on that

When you listen to a band or your band and the music, vocals ,and delivery, sound great you will realize that ALL of the members in a band are of equal importance.
If they are all skilled, it is majic, and you have a very marketable product and you will make memories for yourself and others that will last a lifetime
