LANDSLIDE (Stevie Nicks)
------------------------
A few notes:
* Most of the song uses a picking pattern a lot like the intro; there _is_
some variation (and maybe a 2nd guitar), but you'll get a lot of mileage out
of the intro tab. The big exception is the part that goes 'well I've been
afraid of changing,' where the chords change completely. (And if anyone
wants to tab that part out, send it to me and I'll add it to this file!)
* Most of the variation in the C G/B Am7 G/B part is in the form of high G
notes. I.e., fretting the high E string at the 3rd fret with your left
pinky, and playing that instead of the B string in some measures, and also
at the beginning of some measures, with the first bass note. You'll have to
listen to the song to figure out _exactly_ where to do it.
* All the chords are one measure in duration, except 'Am7 - G/B,' which is
one measure _total_.
* D7/F# is 200212, or maybe 20021x. I play it 200212, with my thumb on the
low E string.
* It's actually in E flat; capo at the 3rd fret.
* In the guitar solo, '/' is a slide, '=' is a hammer-on or pull-off, and
the marks underneath are for timing. The timing is pretty accurate.
* Some of the places in the guitar solo where I put hammer-ons or pull-offs
should probably be bends (e.g., 10=12 should maybe be 10b12). But I don't
have an electric guitar, so I can't do whole-step bends.
* I might not have put the solo on the right strings; the _notes_ are
right, but where I notated a 3 on the E-string, it might really be an 8 on
the B string, and so on. Use whichever fingering works best for you.

There it is. I don't know all the words off-hand, but I have the
book somewhere so I can post them later if anyone's interested.
Now, does anyone know, 'Always look on the bright side of life' or
'I like Chinese' or 'I bet they won't play this song on the radio' or
even 'Open-field plowing in the late 12th Century' (or something like
that)...

(Note: Ordinarily, only the top four strings are played throughout the song. The
5th and 6th strings, A and E, are not played and left silent. And, in all chord
forms throughout the song, the D string is played, but not fretted, leaving the
open D string to pedal throughout the song. On the Bb for example, the first
finger is placed on the first fret of the high E string, the little finger on the
third fret of the B string, and the ring finger on the third fret of the G
string. The D is left open. For the C chord that follows, just move the entire
chord form up two frets, which should leave the index finger on the third fret.
The Dm9 is played like an Am, but the middle finger is lifted to leave an open G.)

The Full Lyrics (thanks to Brian Ross)
===============
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once again, a hundred thousand *MORE* apologies to Brian Ross who obviously spent a long time on this -- heck, it's still worth getting just for the great lyric chart alone!!! Also, apologies to those who were confused by my post. I'll be more careful! It's just that, played 'correctly' :^), this song sounds so eerie, that you can give yourself goose bumps. It's even worth buying a 12-string JUST TO PLAY THIS SONG!
P.S. Any big GL fans? I'd still love to hear from you!
