Of course you can, toots.  3 Dog Night.  Another one I grew up with.  Now this one I didn't grow up with but he sure was an icon.

You obviously feel it or you wouldn't write it so well.  Good for you, daddycool.

Well, I think it is a shame the US has not changed to metric yet.  It is so much easier in the long run.

I just hang up or delete emails before reading these days.  I'm not even interested in what they have to say.

Paul Simon is one of the greatest singer/songwriters.
And then there is Jimmy Jones.

Welcome to Chordie.  For us to help you, we need to know what kind of music you prefer and what chords you already know.  It is easier to do what deadstring explained.  Check through the public books and find songs that are easiest for you.

I'm the same as deadstring.  Don't like buttermilk, but like them in biscuits and pancakes

I agree with you on CCR.  I like to listen to them on the road.  You have to watch the lead foot though.  You can be speeding without realizing it.

Nothing like a good sense of humor.  As a matter of fact, it should be mandatory in this life.

They usually only bring it up when they are mad about something else.  "All you ever do is read, play guitar and get on the computer.  I usually get on these things a few minutes at a time throughout the day.  I try to keep it short.

I like tribute bands if they are close to the original band.  Nothing wrong with them.  But, I also like original bands with their own methods and sounds.

About 70 F here today.  Sunny.  My daughter and her husband and three grandkids are here for a few days.  Bar-b-que alittle later in the day.  Drink a few beers and perhaps someone will ask me to bring out the guitar.  My daughter will, I know.  Cheers to all of you on this fine day.

I like Dixie Land and Big Band era music.  You're right Old Doll.  Hadn't heard that one.  A good dance tune.  And badeye, here's one to match your old country song.  A catchy tune I always thought.  A good song.  North to Alaska

Thanks Tony for a little extra inspiration.  I am glad you are feeling better.  I quit 10 years ago, but secretly kept smoking a few a day until recently.  My wife found my hidden pack in the trunk of the car.  So, I am now wearing patyches again, which do help, and I haven't had one for three weeks.  I have been thinkinking alot about possibly sneaking another, but haven't yet.  Reading this thread will help me through this.  I hope.  And congratulations to all of you who have sincerley quit.  I hope to be one of you as of now.
