In songs like that, the small e usually means em.  Some places do that.  small a is am and so on.

I'm the same as upyerkilt.  it takes all kinds to make the world go round.  Welcome pastor.  i am sure you will get lots of help here when you visit.  Strummimg is relative.  Yes, there are the right ways to strum, like the original song was intended, but i, also am not the best strummer, so I use a combination of strumming and picking as I sing various songs and they sound pretty good.  So, don't be afraid of developing your own style.  something that you are comfortable with.  everyone does it.  Good luck and i am happy to meet you.

It just so happens I am learning Copperhead Road by Steve Earle right now.  It's in Drop D and is a great song.

the one thing I do is keep coming here.  It gets me fired up.  And I try to learn new songs and chords along the way.  And I watch a lot of YouTube stuff and I always learn something from that.  i try to get better at something every day

Some have it and some (like me) don't.  That kid has quite a life ahead of him.

I don't know either, but I've always been told that the all wood guitars sound better with age.  I don't think it is something we will notice over time because the change is gradual.

That's a hoot.  Very suggestive, but done in good taste.

Welcome back, Crevs.  It's not a step backward, its a step forward.  It's good to expand your choices.  Now you're on a roll.  And yes, you can play any kind of music on guitar.  That's how you make it your own.  Good luck

After a few lessons you will notice some of the students are faster learners than the others.  Thjis may become an issue over time that you have to deal with.  You might be thinking early on about what you will do when the top performers start getting bored with the material.  Do you split them up into different groups?  Do you teach everyone at their level within the same group?  Some things to think about.  I wish you luck.

I tried yesterday, but was unsuccessful.  That's not to say it isn't out there.

Sorry to hear about your issues.  I do know that your positive attitude is a step in the right direction.  And with perseverance I know you will get where you want to go.  Handicaps and illness make the fight more difficult, but not impossible.  Wishing you well and the very best of luck to you.

I've used Songbook for years and it is a very good program for Chordpro files.  I have it in Windows and on my smartphone.  It also transposes chords.  I have often wondwered why Chordie doesn't contact them and advertise here.  And it allows you to print your song files.

We'll be setting our clocks back at the end of the month also.  They should just leave the time alone.

I have always been a morning person.  Even as a little kid, I was out playing by 6 or 7 in the morning.  I always think I am missing something.  Mornings are so calm and peaceful.  At night I watch a little tv and then am in bed by 9:30 or 10.  Even now that I am retired, I still get up at 6:00 every morning

I agree with everyone here on the language, but on the other hand, I laughed all day, every time I thought about the quote.
