milkshead there really is no set time its just a matter of personal taste there are many songs that use delay for effect in the vocals and some reverb it comes down to what sounds good to your ear smile

hi milkshead this is referred to as a slash chord like d/f# it just means the note to the left d is the chord and the note to the right is the lowest note in the chord so its a D chord with a F# root so your b/c is a b chord with a c as the lowest note in the chord smile

Hi Tony so you wanna make a vid well it depends on what kind of video you can with movie maker do a slide show of your photos with your recorded music as backing and make titles and effects with transitions from photo to photo or use your web cam it depends on how much you want to put into this ($) I have a Kodak 8.2 megapixel and it dose a fairly nice job but they make camcorders that sell at walmart for under 50 dollars that you can use to shoot a video on location, like at the beach,park,zoo just some ideas of locations or spend a few dollars for a good camera (at least 150) the higher the megapixel the better the resolution I think for the first time work within your budget lots of people use a web cam on Youtube just make sure you have enough lighting its up to you how far with production you want to go creativity go's a long way because I have seen some web cam videos that were good, food for thought good luck with it smile

As usual well said Doug "gosh you should run for the common council" or do voice over for radio, wait a sec I think you already do something along those lines lol

I guess im a little old fashioned the saying "if you cant do the time dont do the crime"comes to mind I really dont have an answer to or if rehabilitation works most incarcerated inmates learn new skills and sometimes better ways to commit crime but there are some that "see the light" and amend there ways and theres a high percentage of death row candidates who seem to find Jesus,he was there all along but when your days are numbered I guess you would be looking a little harder.

Selso I would follow Arkadys instructions and you will wind up with separate mp3's of each track these you can email as they wont consume a lot of megabytes and take forever smile

Tony the Nero program offers more then DVDs or Cd's they also have a cover design program with the ability to take one of your photos and add it to the cover as well as let you add text the best cover design program is one I have from AVS which also has a great video editor the video on my website videos "keep on riding" was made with this program video within a video effects and you never know you might one day want to film some of your performances or sessions and the Nero program will come in handy for making the DVD and cover designs to put in empty jewel cases for your friends just a thought.. smile

The patterns casuallegend is referring to are called progressions, most every song has a progression the word progress means to move or go, in music it means to follow a set of chord changes (progression of chords) they start and end and repeat from start.The part where you improvise is called a solo your improv has to follow the chord progression in the song usually its the chords in the verse but it can also be the chords in the bridge or chorus all solos have to stick to the tones within the chords usually but sometimes a half tone flat or sharp is acceptable if it is a passing tone a note within the chord or its relative minors the best forum on Chordie to understand chords and progressions,scales is the Theory forum where you can get expert advice on scales,chords and progressions smile

Hi again Russell,

  Did a little research for ya on that power supply.  Knowing that you have a Radio Shack near you, you might look at their Model: 273-1768  |  Catalog #: 273-1768.  Anything with output amperage equal to or greater than your spec. in 9 Volts DC should work fine, and this one lists for around 20 bucks.  9VDC 600mA, and I think they have a reversable plug end and several sizes of plugs with, so you can be sure of fit and polarity.

Take Care;
Doug

I think if you have been only playing for 6 months you may be expecting to much it takes a little time to be consistent and steady, all strum patterns are based on down and up strumming some of the syncopated rhythms look easy only because the musician playing them is an accomplished player you need a basic study source on strum patterns there are many, I have heard a lot of good things about Justin guitar from a lot of members on Chordie you may want to check him out and be patient it took me a few years to really get comfortable and I used to practice many hours a day every day so it comes down to how bad you want it smile

Thanks Russell I have tried this but I've only been playing for a 6 months and no matter how many times I look at the video I can't get what they are strumming.  Strumming in a problem for me when playing.   Hope I will get better.
