Classical Gas is a favorite of mine.  From the time it first came out, I loved it.  As a matter of fact, I am trying to learn it now.  I am a very slow learner on things like this, but I am trying.

Both my Fender and Martin stay in tune pretty well.  I notice they tune down a bit after a few days and just a small adjustment gets them right back in usually.

I visit lots of sites looking for guitar music throughout the week, but Chordie is the one I visit mostly because it has most of what I am looking for and lots of great people to talk to.  I visit Chordie every day to see what is new.  It is just the best all around site out there.

Happy birthday and good luck with your new job, topdown.  A lot of people would like to be able to do what you did.  We can only hope that your quitting hurt your boss.

Yes, winrick, I sing pretty good too, but I have to transpose a lot of songs to sing them at a level I am comfortable with.  It works great.

It's always a good thing to try different styles.  I'm like you.  I play chords and sing.  I find it very hard to do melodies on the guitar.  This is only because I don't try enough.  I am just happy I can sing fairly decent along with the chords.  I am starting to branch out like you and try other things, but after so many years of the same thing, I find it hard to get the grasp of picking something.  Man, there goes that practice thing again.

I have given 3 guitars to young relatives who were interested in trying their hand.  In each case it was an old, not expensive guitar and I bought a newer better one for myself.  I missed my old guitars, but as long as they were learning with their new gift, I was happy.  In a couple of cases the kids got them and practiced for awhile and then just sat them in the corner and never picked them up again.  I wasn't too happy about that.  One grandson put stickers all over it and that made me a little mad.

If I should Fall Behind, Bruce Springteen.  This one gets them every time.  And it's easy

Sittin arouind a campfire and playing with friends gets you high, Zurf.  Of course you get high.

I planted peppers and tomatoes.  That's all for me this year.  I tried watermelons last year, but the gophers like them as much as I do.
