I loved that Brian, lol, it made me laugh and I had a smile on my face the whole time listening to that.  It kinda reminded me of Flight of the concords how they would talk between their songs and strum while talking and they would talk on any subject and make it funny.  You did that, I think you have found a new talent smile

thanks for having a listen,i`ve been doing these things for ages,i often do them
about people for their birthdays.

Not much activity on Chordie at the mo,so thought i`d post this gem(or germ)
This is not a song just me doing an off the cuff ramble with a couple of chords thrown in.
love doing these .its a real foot tapper,so get ready to dance.!! it`s kinda rockabilly meets disco meets punk with a bit of metal
thrown in for good measure, with a reggae latin feel.

i think choosing a word like last mth works better  eg man/woman/ghost

Thanks easybeat, noted and agree, random words were fun, so yep will definately do again.  In the meantime, any song suggests or a song you have written with the above in it, eg a day of the week or a number?

day of the week or number, great ill start writing for new mth.
its good to have a reason to write a new song, song of mth gives me the incentive.

Peatle
thats a goodie.

that was great Zurf, always enjoy your preamble

because of my poor singing Jan couldn`t hear some words i think it goes something like this.
old mans eye
as the years march on
i march a little slower
if the wheels turn round
will the rust fall away
they say time waits for no man
and it hasn`t waited for me
seems the blink of an eye
everything has changed
well there`s no going back
to what has gone before
a realisation the best years have gone
a tear escapes from the old mans eye

Thanks Brian, its good to see so many joining in isn't it, I hope more will join in too and have a bit of fun with us all cause that's what its about, fun smile  Also I love that some people do covers, some do originals, its great to see and hear smile

easybeat, that guitar of yours does all the talking I am sure of it!  You should be in a band and playing your heart out!  Like I always say, your guitar skills are awesome, I wish I could do what you seem to do so easily!.  I would love to see the lyrics to this song as I couldn't quite hear all of the lyrics when you sang as your vocals at times were a bit quiet and I couldn't quite hear all the lyrics. Also you earn brownie points for being the first up!  Love it, awesome easybeat, if you find the time, please post the lyrics, what I could hear was great smile

jan
if i can remember the lyric ill post, much was made up as i went along.
you make me laugh about my``guitar skills``i haven`t a bloody clue what im doing
just turn on the recorder and see what happens.

good rave peatle, people need to be talking about these things.
its not fashionable to think this way,but price hikes to tend to
focus the mind .Nuclear energy was off the table for many countries
a real no no,but now some are committing to it for their future energy.
a  360 ` change that has happened very quickly.

I`m saving up for petrol
gonna put it in my car
you know without petrol
i`m not going very far
but the price keeps going up
every time i visit the pump
i guess i could get a taxi
but their problems are the same
this all happened recently
is Russia really to blame
maybe we should look closer to home
where energy decisions are made
perhaps it`s our very own Gov`t
that just hasn`t made the grade.

fantastic piece of writing  and a mth early at that
Jan being back and getting song of mth going again seems to have
given chordie a new energy, and many of us a reason to write and post again.

sorry now im retired i haven`t a clue what day it is any more.
but getting the wrong month is a new one for me.

Changed the title of this one to suit song of month .
i wrote a few songs for Zurf last week, this is one of them
i banged out a quicky to support song of the mth.

as a well known poem once said Jan
``you had better take care``

Old blokes on bikes
better take care
cause if they come off
they got no hair
nothing to cushion the fall
a tangle of arms legs
pedals spokes and all
when you`re young
fit and strong
cast caution to the wind
you can do no wrong
but as i said before
I`ll say it one time more
old blokes on bikes
had better take care

Richard and the Byrds   good stuff.

looking forward to hearing it
