Kinda feels like I am cheating on this one as we often take the campervan over on the Interislander and as the songs suggests, it`s always a great start to our annual South Island holiday.  We drive the campervan on board, head up to the Premium lounge, where we eat and drink as much as we want before heading off to Blenheim to stay the first night  before heading off on our journey South.

I liked what you have done Peatle.  It worked as far as I am concerned.  I liked the echoing voice.  How did you do that may I ask?

Interesting jazz version of F.M The Chain.  I enjoyed it but still prefer F.M`s original.

I love Folk - Bluegrass music at any time, I love the sound, the rhythm, everything about it.  I really enjoyed listening to these guys though the topic was a bit grizzly.

Thanks Brian, for you doing this.  Though I am late to the party and have been MIA this month due to a family member in hospital and then passing away.   I am trying to catch up tonight all that I have missed on Chordie.  I hope you keep this up, it's been interesting and you have introduced me to some artists and songs I hadn't heard of before.  keep going, it interesting.
Having said that, this is probably the only one so far that I don't like much.  Didn't like the style or much about it.

Frank and Johnny, both artists I have enjoyed over the years, thanks for sharing.

wow, that was good, I hadn't heard of that song before.  I am realizing easybeat, you are miles ahead of me in the music industry with all these artists and their music.

lyrics are very sad sad

After all these years (36 years to be exact) living in Wellington, I have never heard that song before easybeat.  Cheers for sharing.

wow that was not only a great listen on this song, but the information you guys gave to go along with it, very interesting.  P.S., I loved that movie Papillon.

Loved it! I am a fan.

I am Sailing - Rod Stewart
She works hard for the money - Donna Summers
Drunken Sailer
9 to 5 -  Dolly Parton
Crocodile Rock - Elton John
Elcondor Pasa - Simon and Garfunkel
Hound Dog - Elvis Presley

any more suggestions before I close this months suggestions?  Come on I am sure you lot have some smile

P.S.  I will try tonight to do something for this month, only 2 entries sadly.

Hi everyone, sorry been absent most of this month, had a very close family member in hospital for a couple of weeks up north, sadly they have passed away, hence my being absent on chordie.

Anyhow ......
neophytte, that little mic looks great, have you invested in one yet?

Peatle, as far as I am concerned trying new things in music is GREAT!!!  Keep on experimenting smile

Jim, this shorter version is good and it's a great song smile

neophytte, great setting the Vinyl Cafe to perform in.  Well done on your original song, nicely performed.  Only other comment I would make is, it was very hard to hear in parts what they words were that you were singing, not sure if it was because of the recording or the background public noise or the guitar louder than your vocals.

Peatle, that was a clever way to write and perform a song.  You had the old man and the young man responding to the audience.  Very clever, well done smile

Great suggestions neophytte.

Anyone else?

Lovely song Jim, well written and agree, take out the repeat verse to shorten it and its good to go.  Nice one smile

Hi,

Did a "live to air" gig last weekend, and mentioned the Chordie's FSOTM section, here is the audio.

Cheers

Richard

Way to go Richard!  Awesome for you to get out there and do a live to air performance, how cool is that!  Great the Chordie mention as well, Per will be happy with that.   How did this all come about that you got to go on live air?

Looking for SUGGESTIONS this month for SONGS with WORDS that are about MONEY, about ANIMALS, about SAILING.

Also looking for any SONG from the COUNTRY you live in.  A great chance to share something about your COUNTRY.

Start SUGGESTING, as many as you want.
