Peatle, good message in your poem "always shine your light".  Some other good lyrics in there too such as "you can not edit an empty page".

Phill, that's another good piece of writing by you.

Jim, a nice one that bounced along, great lyrics.  I  hope I get time to have a go at this one.

TIGLJK, another great song by you.   It definitely will suit being performed like "This Train".

easybeat, nicely performed and clever bit of writing with "Delivery Man" lol

neophytte, I look forward to hearing this one when its finished.

neophytte, that really suited your voice, I enjoyed it.

Grah1,  that made me laugh, good impresson of the drunk singing big_smile

TIGLJK,  I really like this song you wrote, very appropriate for the season.

good question Brian, I've heard it said many times in films. Maybe it's the only holiday they get in the USA? I know they get lots less than us lucky Brits.

Jan mentioned I should include Hey Santa on FSOTM as it's a christmas song, I thought it was a boozers ode like Fairy Tale Of New York?

Hey Phill, when I clicked on the link, the song isn't there.

It is great to see all the good songs on here this month. Here is my attempt at a Christmas song. Sorry about my terrible voice as usual but I hope it entertains a little bit.
Merry Christmas everyone and Love and Peace to you all.

Nicely done Phill, easy listening and fun. Loved the ending where you spoke smile  As neophytte said, how about entering it FSOTM as well.

Great to see you entering a song again Brian for FSOTM.  I liked the message in it, "family together having a good time".

Well done, you are putting yourself out there and following up on your talents.  Good for you smile

Aww nicely done together Richard.  Great to see you both performing together and enjoyed the laughter at the beginning.   Eunice has a lovely voice smile

I enjoyed this one Peatle, I must have missed it the first time you showed it on You Tube.  Good message and yes, I can relate to the still young inside too.  I liked the sound effects you put on it too.

I got 14 out of 15.    I could kick myself because the one I got wrong, I changed my mind at the last minute and got it wrong lol big_smile

Peatle, thanks for the feedback.  It was fun trying to think of words to rhyme.  Yes, me to hope this cough goes away soon, slightly better today smile

easybeat, thanks for your comments too.  It kind of just developed into a conversation more by accident than on purpose smile

neophytte, thanks smile

Ride
Kiss
Sad

I am still coughing so haven't entered anything last month or this month.  So tried to write a quick poem of sorts using the word ADORNING in it.  My writing skills are not the best when it comes to poetry or songs for that matter lol big_smile but at least it's an attempt and something to enter.  Hopefully my cough will go soon enough for me to be able to perform something soon.

ADORNING

"Hello there, good morning,
how did you sleep?"  he asked as I was yawning.
"Not so good" I replied.  "You kept me awake with your snoring".
"Oh, so sorry, I`m overtired" he said.
"For better or worse in marriage,
says that ring, ADORNING your finger".
We both chuckled as I grabbed the milk and continued pouring.
"What's on your schedule today I asked?"
"I need to go down to the mooring,
the boat needs some new parts which I will be ordering".
"By the looks of the weather warning, it will soon be pouring" he said.
"Oh, thought I would pop out for a bit,
go look at a new rug for the flooring.
This adoring purring cat of ours,
well, he ruined the last one with all his clawing".

neophytte, I remember this song that you and Jai did, just as enjoyable to listen and watch this time too.  I loved the concentration on Jai`s face.  Though your son will be older now, I hope you both still get to jam together sometimes.  I know you did one with Jai playing piano when he was older, hope this keeps up with you two smile

Thanks Jandle, I missed this yesterday (I went down the YouTube rabbit hole after watching Peatle - hahah) - yer, we still do the occasional jam, although he is working hard on his own music, mostly for his game, but he did lay down a solo for one of the songs I'll be releasing on CD. He played the songs in a solo piano performance he did as part of the schools musical show.

Cheers

Richard

Jai is very talented by the looks of it neophytte with his music and creating games, very clever indeed.
