I think whatever works for you is fine there are those who differ and I can understand there point of view, but ultimately do the best you can regardless if its midi or unassisted, people dont care what went into the song or how it was made all they care about is if it sounds good to them and there the ones who buy the cd's and pay the cover charges to hear music that they like smile

There is a free program called Guitar Alchemist it has over 1000 different ways to make chords from open to the 12th fret, this program also tells you the intervals to make the chord like 1 3 5,for major or 1 3b 5 for minor it has virtually every chord you will ever use added to this is the scales for Lydian pentatonic mixolydian etc. and it also plays the chords with whatever sound you like from keyboard to guitar and its totally free I think there is a link somewhere in the theory section but if you type in "Guitar Alchemist" in the google search it will take you to the download page, the program takes very little space and loads fast give it a try I think you will like it I have this program and its great for teaching my students smile

I've been working off that chart and only then posted my request. I still can't find them... hmm or is there a sub level to the chart that I can't see? I know you can click on a chord to see other methods of playing it, but I'm still stumped by the following:

Bb, Eb [can only find Eb(add9)], Bb7, C6, G#A, G#7, G#, G#m

Any guidance/references/pointers or guides to other help files will be highly appreciated.

When I was playing full time I had a set list of at least 15 songs and after the "hi there were so and so's start the first song and after its finished wait a few seconds and start the next after three or four songs in a row any jitters vanish and later after the audience has had a few libations they loosin up and then everybody enjoys themselves and if you like what your playing so will they but if your only thinking of how much time left before the set ends or get an attitude because no one claps it could be a long night and your in the wrong bussiness smile

obscure that's a tough one to answer, its near impossible to get the Melodie just from a set of chords over words untill this person posts this song on there website but you can get a feel and a idea of the song by playing the chords because the chords suggest a Melodie.I have been playing and writing songs for many years and even I dont really know what the Melodie is,only a "feeling"for the rhythm and lyrics smile

I think the worse pet names are from newlyweds or new couples I remember the "newlyweds" game show I think the moderator was chuck eubanks and he acted more like a voyeur with some of his insensitive remarks to the couples just to get a laugh from a lame audience and some of the pet names they had for each other ugh, falling in love is like temporary insanity people take on a docile puppy like demeanor like parents trying to talk to a baby "goochee goochee goo" and the baby smiles and the parents glow till a rank odor shakes them back to reality lol

Hi,

Ahh - pet names - doh ! Thought it had something to do with the cartoon character.

Yes, I have dreamt up some really stupid pet names and had some really stupid pet names thought up for me ! We should get Doc Phil to run a thread on it.

google up Les paul and Leo Fender there was a hawaiian steel back in the 30ths that was electric and durring the big band era of the late thirty's and early fourties there was a modified hollow body with an amp but it was never mass produced Les Paul is credited with the first production model and Leo Fender and his broadcaster were close behind smile

That is very kind of you to offer your assistance every little bit helps, I will have more information as soon as I hear from the owner of the studio I am recording my CD in, and as soon as I get this I will relay it to everyone and as more songs are nominated for this project (we have 16 so far) I will add them to the list, I would like around 24 songs for a two CD package so theres going to be room for a few more including yours smile
