Using reverb on a bass when recording is fine it depends on the sound your looking for,a lot of early Beatles and some later songs use reverb I think it all comes down to the key your playing in and if you want a brighter sound on the bass the reverb accents the mid range of the bass smile

sounds like you know what your doing, just curious what if he has no belt or belt loops smile

As a cop myself, you'd handcuff the wrist to the belt ... I'd never handcuff someone to the armrest as your looking at a lawsuit if you get into an accident and he's "stuck" with the car ... as far as mucic, I'd keep what I had on the radio, which was usually a hard rock or metal station ... if he doesnt like it, he's not going anywhere anytime soon and it's only a short ride to the cell  tongue

warm and comfy eh go ahead and rub it in lol the only place I get to wear shorts and a T shirt is when I get up and have my coffee unless its summer we are coming out of the deep freeze and the temps will be near 30 Above I would think if you drop a stack of Cd's at that temperature they would be brittle and shatter but I'm not going to drop my Cd's unless someone gives me some Barry Manilow songs lol got a guy coming tomorrow to fix my vista glad I got this old standby xp, its warming up so it looks like I can get some more recording time in smile

Good idea rescheduling in such weather...

Just a thought though... if you have a stack of CDs at -25F, and you drop them on the pavement... do they shatter like glass? LOL

Keep indoors warm and comfortable.... just to make you feel better I'm sending some of our weather your way.  Sat out in the front lawn and played guitar in the sunshine today... in shorts and T-shirt!  Darn near got sunstroked.

Take Care;
Doug

Tuba they make a jr size electric and you can set the hight of the strings so it will be easier to press the strings down and the neck is much shorter so he shouldn't have any trouble reaching the first fret smile

have you composed any music? that usually gets the creative juices going and may spring you into some new ideas, differen't sounds and chords with arpeggio moving lines or study fingerpicking style its totally differen't then strumming and very challanging smile

that would fall under police brutality lol

if you handcuff this person to his leg he's going to be sitting kinda akward and most police cars only have the police band on the radio some of the police cars have screens and the back doors are locked so he might not have to be handcuffed, but I would guess they would secure him someway and what if his ankle is really fat the handcuffs woulden't fit so your guess is as good as mine smile

One of my students is 9 his name is Lucas his father and I have known each other for over 15 years he asked me to teach his son and he has been my student for about 6 months he loves rock and roll and when I show him some cool bar chords (with effects) he really works hard at home and at his lessons but I wanted to give him a rounded education so I started teaching him to read notes and I can tell you he hates it, his last lesson I had him read a simple lesson he looked disinterested and tried to memorize it I kept telling him to look at the music sheet and he would glance at it and go back to trying to play it without looking, after his lesson I got a call from his father it seems young Lucas cried on the way home and would not tell his father why he was crying so I got a call from his father and told him the best way is to keep teaching him  what he likes and sneak in some theory when I can and if that's the only way he's going be happy and look forward to his lesson then that's the way it will be, he is a good player for the time he has been taking lesson I video taped his lessons for his family and they were really happy, he plays a fender strat and can play the evil B like nothing and bar F and G chords clean so he must be learning something, the hard part is keeping a young persons attention so do whatever it takes eventually they will learn smile

Phill never ceases to amaze me the first time I listened to his music must have been last autumn there was something about it that made me want to hear more and we somehow hooked up as friends on myspace and have worked on several projects including Death and Paupers the collaboration of Chordie members that was written by Old Doll and included Arkady and Kenny (kap) Phill and myself, this song had something that made me want to participate and I was really pleased when Phil sent me a mp3 and asked me to add whatever I wanted, after listening I realized the vocals were fine as they were and chose to only add a rhythm and lead solo and mix it the song speaks for itself, a great composition needs little embellishment smile

sometimes you can use modes if the song is in G major I use the E minor scale the same holds true for all keys the 6th interval of any key is its relative minor so in the G scale the notes
G A B C D [E] F# G could be numbered as 1 2 3  5 6 7 8 and thats how you find the relative.
1 3 3 4 5  (6)  7   8
                 ^
                 ^ is the relative minor in G (E) you can also do that with C  C D E F G (A) B C
                                                                                                       1  2 3 4 5 (6) 7  8
                                                                                                                      ^
                                                                                                                      ^
                                                                                                                relative minor
keep in mind that there are sharps and flats and you must know which notes are sharp or flat and the only way to do that is with basic theory Jerome can help you with that better then I so good luck with it smile
