Thanks Phill, hope you have more luck contacting Roger than I have had.
I remember years ago saying, "right said Fred" (meaning and used in the context of "let's start these dishes") whilst doing the dishes with my youngest son and his buddy. Well, the two of them, laughed and laughed so much, at me saying that, that the 3 of us were in stitches so much that we had sore faces and stomachs from laughing so much.
Had a listen today to this one Jim, well written once again and I agree with Peatles comment on Soundcloud that would suit an orchestra to this one.
Great idea Richard, are you going to participate?
Peatle, that was a great piece of writing. I think many of us can relate as we older and reflect. Some lines in particular stood out, such as this one for example "Fill me with the wisdom of old fashion truth". Good to see you still writing ![]()
Yes, I wondered about Bill and Russell as well, haven't seen either of them since before Covid. I haven't seen or heard from Roger either, I wrote him an email about something to do with Chordie and no reply from him either. I hope they are all ok.
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...no seriously; "capricious"
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious - that songs been taken by Julie Andrews herself
Oh and an American woman Nina Jankowicz who was appointed by the USA for a newly created "Disinformation" Governance Board. She resigned from the position amid the dissolution of the board by the DHS in May 22. Wonder if it was the song ;D

I must have missed that one lol, but there`s a challenge in it for us, a song with zzzzz in it
Good to see some interaction on here and good to see a couple of names we don't seem that often these days. Rock on the Left-Handed players
Great to see the suggestions in here. Anymore members want to add their word for next month's FSOTM?
Anymore entries? last month and this month seem to be very quiet with entries.
Nicely performed and written neophytte. Good to see your still out there performing and extra special that you're performing your own work
WORLD is my one-word suggestion.
Look forward to see what words you all choose.
Looking for SUGGESTIONS for this JUNE from YOU the MEMBERS.
Just SUGGEST ONE WORD from each of you, for SONGS to COVER and or to write ORIGINALS for.
So, the more members that SUGGEST a WORD, the more SONGS we can perform or write next month.

Great thanks everyone for the suggestions
As for me, I had a song lined up, a cover using the words, prelude and solitude, BUT after many attempts to nail it, FAIL BIG TIME! So I have given up on it, was getting frustrated I couldn't nail it. So nothing from me this month
Phill, that was awesome, you used all the words, love it. At first I saw this as a clever poem using all the words but afterwards and maybe because I listen to neophyttes song just before I read your entry, I could also hear your poem/song using the same tune neophytte had to his song on your song, it worked! Though I am sure you want your own tune put to this, I could so hear it put to the tune of neo`s song.
neophytte, that was really good, well written, well sung and well played, you nailed it this month, I applaud you. Side little note .... I would still love to hear louder vocals from you
They call me the breeze jj cale .
I can hear you performing that one Grah, it will suit your style ![]()
Anymore suggestions from anyone for next month?
Peatle, that is a brilliant piece of writing. You have outdone yourself this time with this poem. Loved it, connected to the message, well done!
Looking for SUGGESTIONS for MAY next MONTH with the following WORDS somewhere in the SONG or TITLE of the SONG.

Jan
Loved this song.
Phill I agree with you halfway on you comment on media coverage. You are correct that they can be career- enders.
However - I also agree with Jan that they turn a blind eye to many.( Depending on political perspectives or monetary impact)
I can't stand the way CNN and FOX both make up crap or dig especially deep for political endorsement.
News show be impartial and wholly truthful. But anyways - good thing we have independent writers and musicians that do exposes on importmatters that get lost in the media.
WELL DONE JAN !!
Keep them coming!Jim
Thanks Jim, you got it exactly what I was meaning and you have nailed it, regarding for political or monetary endorsements or impact, not to mention lining pockets ....... hmm maybe another song in that
You can certainly write a protest song Jan. The only line I disagree with is the one about the media down playing whatever the politicians or the radicals are getting up to, at least in the uk! The media here blow everything up and ended many a political or show biz career. I've said it before but again, you have a lovely voice, and your uke playing and timing is spot on, love the riff.
Thanks Phlll, lol I didn't start out to make a protest song, but it kind of turned into that I guess, more by accident than intent
"The media down playing" part of the song was more about they don't always tell the truth, they only tell what they want to reveal, their narrative that they want the public to see, believe. I agree, they can for sure show lots of things on the news and blow everything up for the viewers, so that again the public see`s their narrative, what they want the public to see. So, we are both correct, the media both down plays and blows everything up, to suit their narrative. I was focused on the down playing side as they hide the truth often.
