Re: RYTHM / TEMPO (7 replies, posted in Electric)
I think what would help is a metronome there is a online version free to use someone on chordie has the link to it or you could buy a enexpensive drum machine (used if you can find one at a music store or want ads) i think a drum machine would help alot also you could download "AUDACITY" a free program from sourceforge.com it has a click track and if you have a tape recorder you can use it to make mp3 or wav files to upload it also has a help folder you can download in a zipped folder from sourceforge and open the folder and select only the section you want help with its all free so hang in someone else may offer more information that can help you and goodluck ![]()

Well im Max, and im 16. I like listening to the old rock like led zepplin, frank zappa, black sabbath..etc
i also like punk rock, the sex pistols, ramones, the clash, operation ivy etc....I only play acoustic so that when i jump on the electric the strings are way easier to manuever. my hands will just shred on the electric.
Im self taught, so i think im doing pretty good since i can play jimmy page's solos like nothin.

hi all and thanks for the great replies, as far as recording is concerned, i've got a bit of a back-log, but this is top of the list.
thanks roger, what kind of brackets should i put on for chorus? bear in mind i've only just worked out how to do chopro and russel, if you knew the young couple the song refers to... especially the girl who goes completely ballistic, the guy had to call the police last week because she attacked him with a kitchen knife! he's so scared of her he wont press charges cos her family are just as crazy.thanks again to all

Helena thats the "sweetest tale" you have penned, this is the first I have heard of a crisis involving the bees and there hives but I know what a contribution the little stingers provide to nature and we would be in serious trouble if there were none of our little friends to pollinate the plants and flowers not to mention crops so I hope they find a solution to this "bee" 4 its 2 late ![]()

Re: Face the Music (16 replies, posted in Songwriting)
I dont know your real name, if I did then I would address you personalally. One thing is clear to me after reading what you have just posted you are experencing a very troubling period in your life with yourself and your family as the consequences of your actions and you will need all the love and support from your family if you are to remain a family. No one is immune to making mistakes and to your credit you have taken the responsibility of careing for this child and incorporating this child into your family I respect you for that, what it boils down to has nothing to do with my songs i sense you were swinging after the bell and venting your anger and frustration and given the situation you are in I can forgive you for that because I found myself in pretty much the same spot you are in and tho you can never erase what happend you can put it in the past and move on and I pray you and your family can because it will take a lot of strength and forgiveness to survive this and I wish you and your family well and may God grant you peace and forgiveness to heal these wounds.

Re: Recording question? Russell you out there..lol (11 replies, posted in Chordie's Chat Corner)
OK heres the scoop the closest thing i can see in your manual for what may help is "setting the repeat interval" and "drum effects" so it has a built in drum machine and you can set the tempo and drum sounds, the Audacity program has something that may help you. click on the "generate"tab and select "click track" a screen will pop up and you set the tempo and beats per measure and after you enable this a click track will appear in a grey grid and when you press "play" you will hear tic tic tic tic or if you prefer click click click click so depending on the length of the song (and there is a window on your recorder that tells you how many bars or beats or length of the song) all you have to do is set audacity click track for this much time or measures or bars
Hey Russ, no hurry at all. Just if you get time.. I get the basic functions. It's just trying to sync everything. This stuff is kinda confusing when your figuring it all out for the first time...lol Thanks again!
