Thanks again guys,

I'm so grateful that I have such a great wife and friends on here that all support me, but I think she's a keeper so I better not trade her, She's one of a kind. It was my first really good guitar, the others that I have are just to learn on, and while I'll keep playing them to, I now have my baby. Thanks again for all the kind words and support guys!

Interesting story Guitarpix, I'll be waiting to hear more from them. I'm surprised to hear this as well. I know certain woods are hard to come by now but you'd think Gibson would have had some stashed back, which I'm sure they did"at least certain woods" . this is kinda like what would you do if you saw an endangered animal, eating an endangered plant, what would you do, let the animal eat to save himself, or kill the animal to save the plant. I'm for good wood, but against harvesting when it's illegall, it's a real knundrum. But I guess I'd have to save the trees. Just my opinion.

Thanks Guys,

I appreciate the kind words, and yes I'll get my camera charged up and take some picks.

GuitarPix, my wife says thank you, she's a very beautiful and sweet woman.

Bensonp, I didn't know you had a Martin, I'm, sure you love it.

Topdown, Yes I'd still love to  get together, it would be great, I'll most likely need some help with the pics.

I'm not sure my playing level justify's a Martin, but maybe this will kick a little more motivation into me.

Hi Everyone,

Well today I reeled in a brand new Martin 000CX-1E I know it's not a top of the line Martin but it's certainly much better than anything else I have, I'm very happy with it. I never thought I'd be able to say that I owed a Martin, but now I can. My wife went with me to pick it out. I told her I wanted to look at several guitars including the Martins. She seen my eyes light up when I got my hands on that paticular Martin and she told me to get it, not only that, but she told me to get the amp too! It was a Fender Acoustasonic 30w/dsp that sounds great, got a nice hardshell case and humidipak for it, so today I'm a happy man, just wanted to share the news, and if I can figure out how to post a picture I will.

There ain't nothin in this world like a good dose of Southern Hospitality. I'm proud of my Southern accent, and the people here in the South are as friendly as any. Nothin like sittin on the porch with a glass of sweet tea, homemade biscuits, grits, honeysuckle, watermelon, and the smell of fresh cut grass, home grown tomato's family and friends.

Ran up on this, I use to watch a TV show from the Bluebird Cafe but can't find it anymore, but I thought this young lady had a nice voice.

Hope things go well Tuba, I was living in SC when Hogo hit, it changed the whole face of that state, I'd had never seen anything like it before, though I know it was nothing compared to what happened in New Orleans, but it was plenty bad enough, stay safe.

Hi Kap,

For someone to have such heart as that shows why there are still good people on this earth, to put theirselves out there that way, to have raised so much money for such a good cause, makes us all think what we should be doing with our healthy bodies.

Thanks for the advice Nela, and that makes sense, especially about the nest egg. But today they called me, I went back in and worked today, and maybe some next week, it turns out they are thinking of re-opening under a new name and management. I am enjoying my time away. And if they start back up, I'll most likely go back, maybe, or not, who knows at least I can think about more time off anyway. But again yes, that was good advice. Thanks everyone for your concern, it means alot!

Hi PastorLaurence,

There is a great site by a guy who gets lots of acclaim on here, he will start you from the beggining and take you as far as you need to go, he's been lots of help to many people. Your views and his might be different but thats ok, here's the link.

http://www.justinguitar.com/

It's free but you can donate to him only if you like his site, another great site is

http://www.jamplay.com/  it's endorsed by Chordie, it's a pay site, but I think they have a 7 day free trial

of course you can always hang around here at the same time and get all the help you need, so keep out it and we look forward to more of your post!

Great advice Kap, I'm so sorry to hear of that child, you just never know. I'm with you about hoping the DR's have this right, I know there are shortages or delays of the vaccine here.

Glad your back Badeye, we missed you! I had left a message here on Chordie for you, something about a young female guitarist that was killed up in your neck of the woods, did you hear of it? I forget what her name was, maybe I left it in the original message, no wait, I think I left a link to it, anyway, I'm glad your back.

Thanks everyone,

I appreciate all your kind words, when I think of others I know and what some of them are facing, then I'm gonna be ok. My Mother in Law has terminal cancer so my wife and I are caring for her, so that makes my troubles seem small when you put things in perspective. I'm certain things will turn around, but for now, I'm just enjoying it, thanks again guys for the kind words!

Well, It happened last Friday, my place of employment shut their doors, not all is bad though, it was a very stressful place, I'm glad to be out of there. On one hand I want a job, but on the other I'm relieved to be stress free for a while. Were lucky enough to have stashed a little away for a rainy day so hopefully I'll  get better at my guitar now since suddenly I have lots more time on my hands. I was there on that job for a little over 15 years so it was time for a change, as well as a little rest. Plus that means more time spent on here with friends!
