What is more important is what you are currently doing to make a return. I usually get 20% of those who pay to attend plus CD's that one of my better students sells for me and each one i s signed by me beforehand. I also play free for some charities and SPCA in a several areas. So sometimes it is not about pay that is important. It depends on the venue or where the concert is being held.

I have been uncharacteristically silent these past ten months. I had thought that silence
would soon be coming to an end, but I’m afraid I must tell you now that fate has decided
on a different course for me. In August of last year, I underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in my abdomen. That operation was thought to have been a success, but it caused a cascade of secondary complications which I have been fighting in hospital ever since. It was a long and hard fight with many setbacks, but I was steadily, if slowly, overcoming each obstacle along the way and gradually making my way back to health. However, recent tests have revealed that the cancer has returned. There was no sign of it as recently as a month ago, which means it is aggressive and spreading rapidly. My doctors tell me their best estimate is that I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over. I wish to thank my doctors and caregivers, whose efforts have been magnificent. My dear friends, who have given me a lifetime of memories and whose support has sustained me through these difficult months. And all of my partners at The Washington Post, Fox News, and Crown Publishing. There is a reason not many classical guitarist do not play the 3rd movement. I do play it but is gets more tiring than other songs. She does a great job playing it. Good find.

I am sorry to learn of the problems both of you have. I know know one guy my aged that went deaf at 45. He had two cochlear implants so he could hear again. The wires do not seem to both him at all. He told me he could hear but it is different than when he could hear normally.

I have written a two CD set of original classical music and I am in the process of recording them now. It is music I have not performed publicly yet.

Who would of thought,
to my surprise,
The day I looked in my daughter's eyes,

You came to me early on the fifth of August,

I did not know who I was as a man,

I play a B with four fingers however I am used to stretching to reach notes, and for my size I have long slender hands and fingers. Those things help so after this long playing I normally use normal music rather than chords.

Interesting. Everyone uses a different technique. Shows something new to me. With classical I would not use it but steel sting players might if needed for a certain sound or pick.
