After reading all the great lines from owen54's thread (Thanks Owen) I got to thinking about the songs I have written and what lines are my favorites. I'm sure with all the writers that have posted in the songwriting forum they also have their personal favorites. It would be interesting to hear what those would be along with the link to the song so we could all enjoy.
Thanks All smile

Sometimes your feelings reach out but the ceilings too high for your fingers to reach all alone.
And then comes illusion and lonely confusion,
No time to walk,
No time to talk,
No time to say goodbye.

I'm sure if I could pick up my clothes washer or dryer, turn them upside down and shake the snot out of them like I do my guitar I find a whole &*#% load. They might be a bit warped but at least I could sleep at night with out wondering. lol

One of the girls at work has a cousin that is married to the drummer of the band Anvil. They are a Canadian band out of Toronto and I've never heard of them!!! They have been around since the early eighties and have inspired many bands including Metallica. They are doing a film about them now about how they struggled and have finally made it to the big time.
She gave me the links to a few sites and I was curious if any one else has heard of them.
Wiki pedia has a page on them but when I post the link it comes up for the blacksmith anvil. sad

Hi Tine smile
Learning to trust after being burned is a huge obstacle to overcome. I know this cause I was there once. I can say that I have written a few unposted songs that I keep to myself and every once in a while I dig them out and read them. I use these as a marker of sorts to see if I still feel the same way as I did when they were written. Use your poems in the same way and they will help you to heal and understand your inner emotions which is huge.
Nobody deserves to not be able to trust love.

You're a good writer. Good for you for posting these pieces on the board as it tells me you don't want to just give up.

I stumbled upon Chordie in 2008 looking for chords and lyrics cause I wanted to try and revive my interest in playing and writing. I found the songs I was looking for but more importantly I found the forum. After lurking for a real short time I joined up cause it seemed to me there was a genuine interest for the love of music here. An added bonus was everyone is real friendly and they keep the forum clean. (Great Job by the Mods) It wasn't long before the encouragement I received got me writing and recording. I'm not going any where with my music but that doesn't matter to me, the point is Chordie got me writing again which in turn has enriched my soul.

Not enough words to say Thanks to Per but if he needs something from me...he's got it. smile

What makes this site unique is all the friendly and helpful people here from around the world.
Kudos to Lena (Old Doll)...Where are ya girl. I hope all is well with you.
             Roger Thanks for the boot
             Russel Thanks for the help
             Phill  Thanks for the inspirations
             Southpaw for your great stories
Daddy...Man!!! you write a lot of songs
Ark smile Thanks for your music and your help
And the list goes on.. and on..and on.
If I've been a help to anyone then that is a bonus to me cause it means a ton that I can contribute here.

I have just done a quick check by clicking on at least 15 -20 songs and they all came up without any issues???? Only in Canada Eh...Pity

I don't know why but I'm not complaining, only hoping it was a glitch for everyone else and is now OK.

Two more imaginative pieces from you Ark. smile

I wish I could do that... lol Your daughter may think they sound the same but when she is older she'll hear all the little nuances that make your music your own. Perhaps she'll hear them in a documentary about Global Warming. I know I can.

Nice
