No takers yet?

Looks a difficult song to play neo, up and down the fret board in parts.  Well done for having a go at it.

Good question Bill ......
Well lets see .....
1.  I do cut my fingers nails because I just can`t play the uke or guitar with long nails (I am still trying to finger out how Dolly Parton plays that banjo with those long talons of hers).
2.  Busy busy busy is probably my biggest down fall to not playing as much as I would like too. With family, a household, grandkids, various groups I am involved with and various activities i am involved with ........... doesn't leave much time.
3.  I have the type of personality that takes on too much and involved in too much ............. I need to learn to say no a bit more (not to people) but to myself!!! So I can do what I really want to do.

Jim sorry for the loss of your brother,  such a terrible disease which takes far to many people, young and old alike.

neo, sorry that  your mum was taken by this terrible disease as well.

I wrote this yesterday after talking to a lady who works in our local supermarket.  I have known Jenny for years in this place. She always chats away when I go through the checkout with my groceries.

JENNY -  13.11.18

I walked into the local super market today
Grabbed a few things I needed, then off to pay
As my turn came to put the items on the counter
Jenny served me, it was a sad encounter

She told me she had bowel cancer
Told me having chemo
She had one more session to go
Before they decide what to do

Most likely an op seemed to be the best shot
But they had found shadows on her lungs too
That they can`t treat, not much they can do

As Jenny told me all this
She carried on serving me
The till beeping as it priced items
An otherwise normal day

As my groceries where packed and paid for
We said our goodbyes and adieus
I looked at Jenny and said
I`ll be praying for you

With a smile she thanked me
As I left the store
What a brave woman
And I thought Lord, not another sad

Good message in this Peatle, agree with finding out the truth and not just taking the media as the gospel truth.  I liked your presentation on You Tube by the way, you seem to have  the knack of making them  interesting.

easybeat, I can imagine a song in your comments Fisher Folk instead of Fisherman

easybeat .... definately a terrible thing suicide.  I don`t think many people have the answer as each case or individual and what their circumstances leading up to their decision to kill themselves differ.    Just makes me sad that they haven`t got people they can really open up too and pour their guts out too and having someone that will actually listen to them.   Your song is very thought provoking and melancholy.

Excellent Jim, I think this is a great song.  I like the "soul stability' line in this.  For me, my soul food is going to or for a walk on the beach or into nature amongst the native bush and hills.... great soul food .............. keeps me stable and not cranky lol smile

That was a fun song Phill, really enjoyed it, comments left of Sound Cloud for you smile

Fantastic song written by you Jim and Jets60 loved how you covered it, well done to both of you smile

So great to finally hear your voice both talking and singing.  I have to agree with TF, especially the acapella part at the beginning, definitely sounded like Joe Cocker.  Well done Bill, more, more, more smile

easybeat ... nice, I like what you did with this one, it`s an oldie and a goodie.   Well covered! Extra points for being the first one to perform this month too big_smile
