I don't know much about much, but are they considering a pace maker at all?  That's the same thing they do, kinda, isn't it?  Hopefully the shock was enough to keep her ticker ticking right for a while anyhow.

Thanks for keeping us updated. Ya'll are in our thoughts.

She played it and likes it. I lose more guitars that way.

This has recently started happening to us as well.  My brother has my classical, and my daughter has claimed Jim's Fender acoustic.

Happy NGD!  Hey, at least you have a reason to get new ones when people steal the old ones, right?

Bill - you take good care of her!

Dondra, get better quickly!  Take care of yourself for a change, and take advantage of the time away from chores.  With a few sticky notes on Bill's forehead, I'm sure he can get a few of your jobs around the house done (well, in typical man fashion though, you may have to remind him there are sticky notes ON his forehead).

smile  Bill - those are not shots at you because of your medical history either - those are purely gender digs.  wink

Seriously though, I call an official stop to all this hospital bologna right now.  Chordians belong hugging guitars, not getting stabbed with IV's.  Get better ya'll!

Hi Dave!  I can only say that the above advise all sounds good.  Really, I've got nothing to add on to that.  So, I'll just say,

Welcome to the forums and the Chordie family!  smile

I know that one, Jim. wink

It is Phill.  Thanks!

I agree with you UJB.  I always wonder how those across the pond feel about our shouting out about our Happy Independence Day, when it's technically independence from your own country.  On the other hand, I look occasionally at the issues we have over here and think, "nah, they're probably glad to be rid of us" - LOL!  Hey, just as Canada is like a "brother to the North", I consider England like a "Great Grandma"  smile

Take care of your self NELA.  I'm darn glad you've got such a good woman there to keep an eye on you.  I'm really sorry to hear it's been so rough.  You're in all our thoughts.

I DIDN'T DO IT!  I SWEAR IT WAS NOT ME!  But I do know who did.

These boys are going to just keep getting me in trouble, I know it.

I LIKE it Bill!  I'll have to give it a try.  We're a little crazy here too.  wink  I'm sure my dad would approve.  I grew up singing songs like The TB Blues and Mellow Yellow around the campfire; you know, good wholesome family songs for kids to learn.

Hey, you don't get to choose your knighthood!  smile  I will say, I'm not the mod that granted the title, but we did collectively agree that you deserve to keep it.  WEAR IT PROUDLY!  smile  You have earned your badge!  I do suggest you hurry and put up some sort of avatar though, before another one of the mods gets a smart idea about what to do with that.  wink

If you're not sure how, go ahead and send a photo to my email and I'll gladly help ya out.

I can't keep up. I'm still learning how to shuck & silk, and already you've moved on to pickles and gherkins. Is their anything I need to know about them?

You should know that just about anything can be pickled.  Eggs are popular in bars.  Yes, pickled hard boiled eggs.  If you pickle onions, they taste like pickles.  Oh, and you can pickle pigs feet too (but I've never tried one).  A true pickle connoisseur will be found and quite happy in NYC fishing out a fresh crunchy pickle from a barrel (garlic dills are good) - particularly, in the Jewish shops.  Dills are Kosher.  smile

Nope, never got an email like that before.  If I did, I'd agree with the rest.  They need more info and personalization in their initial contact email.

OMG!  Every person in my house had to come in and find out why I was laughing so hard!  Thank you - all of you - for the awesome laughs!  I read through this while listening to the pickle song.  AWESOME-SAUCE!  I really RELISHED it!

It would have to be one of the best Gherkins in all the land, theoretically.  Oh and Mojo, I think that title would be too long.  tongue

HAPPY Canada day!  Sorry I'm a day late.  I worked some 9+ hours yesterday.  Hopefully that was because some of my Northern Co-Workers were enjoying their day!  smile  And for the record, I love the "aboots"  hee hee hee - I heckled a Canadian once in California.  A bunch of folks were trying to guess where he was from based on his accent.  I sat there rolling my eyes.  Then I said, "I know what country you're from, BUT you have to say 'the word' for me if I am right" - He says, "I'm from the Western portion, we don't say THAT!" And we bantered back and forth a bit while the others looked at us crazy and insisted to know what I knew.  Good times, good times.  Thanks Canada, for giving my Grandma awesome bingo nights and funny money to look at when I was a kid.  smile

I can hear the scratchies!  Hope you feel better soon.  I LIKE The song!  Dare I say, it's cute!  smile

Very nicely done, Jim!  And, if I may be so bold to say, I think your singing is coming along nicely since the last time I heard you.  Either that, or you really FEEL this song more than the last one I heard.  smile  Keep at it!!

I think NELA will be happy to see that we've all been hanging out chatting about corn and world affairs in the "waiting room" while he's in with the docs.  smile  We look forward to hearing from ya NELA, when you're back to it.

Hmmm... I always thought of Greece as my salvation location should anything go awry and I need to jump country (ya know, being 1/116 Greek and all and able to properly pronounce Gyro).  Now I'll just have to plop a tent next to Roger's camper if something goes wrong.  That wouldn't be too bad I suppose.  wink

Warning!  It's a trap!   Bill's just trying to find those who don't listen to rules!
