Congrats Phill or should I say...Mr Mod. smile
Great spot for a wordsmith like yourself, and think of all the ice cream perks you are entitled to.

Well Done on the promo. smile

Thanks for posting the warning Roger. I should have tittled it Fun Names as my intentions were for hearing fun names, not to make fun of anyones names. Feel free to remove the thread if it implies disrespect to anyone.
Please use common sense  if replying to this thread as no matter the name, people have feelings about them.

Thanks Again

After Toneys run in with the wife I thought I'd start a thread with odd names. I read in the paper a while back a fellow named his son Adolph...(middle name) Hitler. He tried to get his sons name on his birthday cake but the bakery declined. This is an on going story as his kids have been taken from him. I Wonder Why?

Any ways on a humorous note I actually know a girl by the name of Anita Mann. I wonder what her parents were thinking.
There's lots more out there like Mary Christmas, so there should be a good song in it with lots of guy names added in the mix.

I hope you didn't listen to her. I may grow old but I don't plan on growinng up.

Indeed and agreed!

lol Good one Toney  I think that calls for a separate thread on funny names.

Many More... or...Much More.

Two much gooder names.

Hi Lena smile

Thanks again for your kind words. I have learned a lot about my strengths and weaknesses over the last while. Most importantly I have learned that I am not alone and I have friends all over the world thanks to Chordie.
I am sorry to hear about your niece. I do hope and pray it is not too serious and all will be well.

I finally got a new computer monitor as the old one couldn't take me pounding on it any more lol So I plan to be on-line more which should knock down the anxiety a tad. lol  lol

Talk Soon and Thanks Again smile

Hi Jeff,
I agree with you about listening to music on the radio. I spend the most of my time driving for work so when I do listen, it is always the news as I can't afford satellite radio.

Very thought provoking. smile

Beautiful writing Alan.

I have been lucky myself health wise but I do know a lot of family and friends that have not been so lucky.
I would think that you covered their thoughts very respectfully.

Thanks for this

Really nice job Phill of conveying an emotion that has to be penned up inside all of us. I know I've wished and wondered many times.

Thanks smile

Hi James,

Fascinating for sure.I try wrap my mind around the physics of the "known universe" and still come up wondering about the "unknown universe"
Dark matter and string theory are mind benders. lol

Great Tune

Hi selso smile

Good job on your first recordings. The first ones are always the toughest and as you go you'll find that if you stick to it, it will get gooder, much gooder.

We got hardly any snow left as its thankfully all melted. 3 days ago it was plus 8 Celsius....I got up today and it's minus 17 Celsius. Spring can't come too soon, I'm getting tired of all this up and down weather. At least we only have to wait for March 11 to set the clocks forward. smile

Hi Phill smile

I didn't feel you were making light at all. In fact I appreciate what you said as I re-read the song.
It does have a sad feel to it, and that is something I hoped to get across in the song.If you or anyone else knows someone dealing with anxiety at high levels, all that is asked is to understand.
I know you understand and that is why I value your input. smile

As for the BR600, if it doesn't talk back then I shouldn't be afraid of it. lol I like the way you think my Welsh friend. I will get it down one day sooner then later I hope, but in the mean time I will keep on writing so when I cipher it I'll have something to use it for.

Thanks Again

Hi Phill, smile

I hope you don't feel that this is written as a sad song or an attention grabber. It truly is about how anxiety affects me. Without getting too heavy into it all I can say is that it can hold the best of the best down, and I'm just me.

Thanks
Kenny

Thanks Daddy smile

I appreciate your thoughts on this, it is a good way to help relieve some preasure. I would like to think it is as easy as that but this disorder has been a burden to me since a child and it really is an uphill fight.I'm not making excuses but I have to face reality.

Thanks
Kenny

Hi Ark smile

Thanks for the feedback. smile No matter what the circumstances the first step is always the biggest and toughest and scariest step. ( I learned that in my classes) I will restring my guitar and play Friday night...FOR SURE and then I will somehow talk myself into opening the BR600 manual and not let it intimidate me and try and cipher it out. lol

Thanks Again

Thanks Roger smile

Writing on this subject is definitely helpful but very scary at the same time because, in real life most people don't understand or choose not to understand, which adds to the anxiety.Writing this feels like I'm gambling. I don't feel this way here at Chordie. It has helped me huge since joining. smile

Hi Toney

Thanks for the kind words of wisdom and support. smile I've been invited to a small winery outside of London this Friday night to jam with some local musicians. Not a huge venue but big enough where I am sweating buckets right now. I hope to take the leap and have something to say in your gigs thread Saturday. It's the little things like that, that are a big help. smile

Hey Selso
Thanks for the comments.  I should have said in the intro that it is a piano piece with a kind of 80's feel to it. ( I think lol) That's one of the cool things about Chordie. Having a chance to interpret how you feel the song is played.
No harm,No foul smile

Thanks Again
