Picked up my guitar today, and it actually has cobwebs on it! Like you, I am finding it hard to practise, and learn new songs at the moment. I don't play open-mics any more, or with my singing group (now disbanded), so I don't really have anything to work towards. Maybe you need to arrange some more of your "Home Jams"? Are you planning any camping trips/jams in Virginia this summer?

That's not good. Thanks for letting us know, Kev - hope he comes through OK. Please send my very best wishes for a quick recovery...

Have never seen hummingbirds in the wild, but would love to do so. When I visited Zurf in Washington DC a few years back, there were feeders hanging all over the place, but no birds. They had migrated elsewhere, apparently (this was in August).
Saw a TV prog about the Arctic recently & there is a hummingbird that migrates there all the way from Mexico. It arrives in the Arctic before there are any flowers to feed on, but survives on tree sap (I think)!

Roger's itinerary gives me the heebie-jeebies just looking at it! That is true dedication to music, Chordie and world travel!! Have a great time, Mr G...
Would love to be there too, but I think it's unlikely. As I've mentioned before, Mrs Norm and I are hoping to visit NYC at some time (and swing by to see the lovely Amy and family), but August is just about the worst possible time for us. But if we ever get round to planning that trip, we WILL come & see you!
Glad to see that there are some Chordians already planning to come. Many more to folow, I hope...
Cheers!

Looking good, folks! Pretty fancy strings, Jeff!
Have one for me...

Not sure I would know one of those from a pikestaff, but happy NGD nonetheless!

Happy NGD, Jim! Nice one NELA - I gotta get me one of them, while I'm still (just) young enough. In my head, anyway...

I would like to second that, h n s! I'm sure that drink will be taken in a responsible manner, too. By Roger, at least.
From what you say, Jeff, I believe I was the last person to restring your 12er. I pass that great honour on to Mr Guppy. He's a whizz at these things! No need to thank me, Roger...
Cheers!

Hmmm, very interesting! Thanks for the kind invitation, Amy! That would be a great addition to our NYC trip, if we could work out a date that would work for everyone. I think we are unlikely to visit in the heat of the summer, so a fall date would probably be more suitable. Anyway, will give it some thought...
Cheers!

Oh, I see what you did there. Good job!

Whoops, sorry Jeff, I may have let the mystery cat out of the bag!

Sorry to be so late making my mind up, but have finally decided that, unfortunately, I won't be attending after all. At the moment I can't really justify the cost & time away from home. Also, Mrs Norm and me are hoping to get to NYC sometime this year, and Mrs N just doesn't travel on the cheap!
Sounds like it will be an absolute blast, though - I look forward to hearing all the gory details! I'm sure you will all enjoy meeting the mystery guest
Cheers!

Edited by topdown - the mystery guest is supposed to be a "mystery" :-)

Great pics Zurf - thanks!
