Zurf ....  thoroughly enjoyed it and liked how you performed it smile   No worries it wasn't on the list, I know it is hard to get time to practice new stuff sometimes, I have had a hard time getting any done myself the last few  months.  The main thing is, you stuck to the theme which was a name, male or female in the song or title, so all good smile

Ok I am just gonna say it ...... I liked his music! .... there I said it lol  I found the guy unusual, definately different in many area`s, strange even but he sure could sing, dance and was extremely creative, talented.  Didn't always like the content of some of his music but even then I found him talented.  Ok I am now gonna moonwalk outta here .....  big_smile

Weather here has been lovely but the mornings and evening are starting to turn colder ....... autumn in the air it seems.  Still wearing shorts and t-shirts , hoping the weather stays nice for us through to the end of April .

Any more song suggestions or instrumental suggestions?

Neo ..... yep does seem very quiet in here with only you and Roger entering anything this month.  I have just got back on Monday from yet another trip way up north (once again) to yet another family funeral (3 since Christmas) hence not being onto any recordings myself.  So hoping now I am back, to be able to get onto it.

Thanks to you and Roger and Neo, wow you have once again earned the the title ~The Human Jukebox~ with all your contributions smile  I had a listen to your songs last night.  There were some in there I hadn't heard of before  so always good to hear new songs.  As for Julia Dream and Roxanne you made them interesting with the reverb or delay on? the effects definately added to the songs smile  Mrs Brown you`ve got a lovely daughter, was foot tapping material and the voices at the end made it interesting smile  Angie (a song I have always liked) you covered well and I found myself singing along with you.  Also congratulations on your original song Margaret`s Eulogy, anyone who writes an original deserves a medal.

Just awesome all round, great lyrics, vocals and guitar smile

Roger great to see you back joining in smile    The song you chose was great, you did justice to it and it really suited you.  I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.  Great lyrics too.

Ok, here are some that come to mind for songs that mention a color.

Yellow submarine - Beatles
Purple Rain - Prince
Red Red Wine - Neil Diamond
Baby Blue - (can`t remember who by)
Blue Suede Shoes - Elvis Presley
Yellow Bird - (can`t remember who by)
Blue Berry Hill - Fats Domino

Hi Roger, yep it is open, there is no set number of songs for either category whether color or instrumental.  There hasn`t been set numbers on Suggestions for a while now smile

Thanks guys for understanding smile

Ok, for month of APRIL, looking for SUGGESTIONS for TWO Separate Categories as suggested by our very own members.

First up from Neophytte, his idea is as follows:  The First Category will be any SONG that mentions a COLOR in the Song, in the Lyric`s or the Song Title.

Next idea from Baldguitardude:  Our Second Category will be INSTRUMENTAL.  Yep you read it correctly,  NO Singing/Vocals.  This gives Everyone a chance to participate, particularly any members that are a bit shy or just don`t want to sing but love to play their instrument of choice.

So with a big thanks to Neophytte and Baldguitardude for their idea`s,  go start SUGGESTING!

Hi Peatle, totally agree, we can not marginalize older people at all.  I totally agree with what you have been saying with regards to all of this.  I have all sorts of scenario`s going on with both of my eldery parents, life threatening and including dementia .... so I certainly have great feeling for the subject!  But as much as I am passionate about the subject (a worthy subject to discuss and consider) I stick by my comment, it is a discussion for the chat section.  I did not mean to offend or demean the subject or your heart for the elderly.  Sorry if you have taken offence.

Zurf ..... now, that was another song I have never heard of before!  That is what I love about FSOTM, I get to hear so many songs that are new to me, have never heard before.  Anyway, enjoyed listening to you cover it and tomorrow when I am not quite so tired, I will google the orginal song to hear it as well smile
