Hi Russell. smile
Entertaining news program you have.I got a kick from your stock ticker impersonation. Well thought out and funny to boot.Soon you'll be good enough to give CNN a run for their money.
Don't know why vid wouldn't load this morning but it was OK today. Must have been because it was Monday morning.
Thanks for the news and the chuckle.

Just wanted to say thanks again to Russell for his help in getting me going recording.
I sent him a demo of Precious Angel for his opinion and to add some tracks to it. Although I did not use his tracks I thought he did a very good job on it.
If anyone would like to hear it you can download it at Russells MediaFire site.

Thanks Again Russ smile

Thank You Old Doll and Ark. smile
Lots to learn along the way but I got nothing but time. That's one of the nice things about recording with computer programs...It's real easy to save your work so you can fix all(and there are lots) of your mistakes at a later date.
Thanks Again
Kap

I get more mind boggled trying to figure out the myspace system.I would like to respond to your responses, place comments and add and make new friends and so on and so on.It is a confusing site to me but I will figure it out in time.

Konfused Kap lol

For Zurf smile

Can't help you out with the nickel thing...I'm still trying to figure out the looney and the tooney.

I'm not an animal hater but I do think this is an ingenious and funny solution to your squirrel problem.

A few more vids out there on this subject.

I would like to know also...What the heck is a Chav

I hate it when I'm stuck in a traffic line up because of construction and they force two lanes into one. I get in line like most people only to watch a bunch of jerks driving right past me up to the yield sign and force their way in causing everyone to have a longer wait. I really hate that...

I have two ex's...naw...I won't go there. lol

It's a fun song to jam to.Hopefully I will get up the nerve to play it next year at the Home County Festival.

PS   I have American Dream tagged for you sometime in the near future.I just need a tad...no a lot more practice on the keyboard.

Thanks Again

Thought I would pull up one of my first written songs(back in the seventies) and one of my first posts.I had so much fun recording Precious Angel that I had to carry on with Home County Time.
A little sloppy in the vocals(getting over a cold) and mix but it will get reworked.Anyways have a listen at my myspace website and I hope you enjoy. smile

Thanks All
Kap

Rush is a Canadian Band that has been around since the seventies and have had a huge following at home and abroad.Getty Lee is the lead singer and the sound of his voice makes my skin crawl like fingers on a chalk board so I can honestly say I know little about them other than they are Canadian. smile

Sorry I can't give you more Doc

Kap

Good question Doc...I wish I knew the answer.
My take to be commercially successful: Lyrically you have to have a great hook.
Musically you have to have a great hook.
Visually you have to project your own style.
If you are unknown you have to have a good manager  that will knock on all the doors that lead to success. You could have a great tune but maybe the person that is listening to the demo is having a bad hair day and doesn't like it.Todays music industry is all about money.I don't know if payola is still a factor.I hope it isn't.

No boubt adout it... Bob Dylan #1. His style influenced many writers and many bands. His songs have been covered by countless bands. His lyrics have moved a nation. To top it all off, I think they still do today.

Sorry to hear about the wheelchair Doc, at least it doesn't sound like your gonna let it slow you down. smile

Well what do you know....:) I finally did a song, joined and posted it at Myspace.I found the whole experience of joining Myspace pretty frustrating but thanks to lots of help from Roger and Russell I managed to accomplish this mondo feat.Phewwww lol
Special thanks to our new recording mod Russell for helping me out in the recording end of Precious Angel. His insights and tips along with his tutorials made it a whole ton easier and more fun to boot. Thanks Russell smile
As for the song it is now up at myspace. Just click on my website link for a listen. I hope my vocals don't do any damage to your ears as they're killing mine lol
I had to shorten the song by quite a bit as when it came to recording it ended up being way to long as it plays pretty slow.
Anyways I hope you all enjoy and all critique is welcome.

Thanks for the push smile

Hi GoodbyeBluesky

If you already have lyrics that you are happy with, try putting your self in a place where you have no distractions(no ipods,no friends,no phone, no TV).A place where you are comfortable and happy.Take only one of your favorite songs with you and run it through your mind running through all different styles of melodies. You will be surprised what you can come up with, with no distractions.Try not to force the melody,it will come.Work on maybe just the chorus or just the verse.
A walk in the park or alone in your room, anyplace where you can't be distracted.

Hope that helps you. smile
