My first was also a Sears Silvertone sunburst archtop.  This was when I was 11 back in 1962.  It was a beautiful guitar.  I didn't learn a lot except for a few chords because I didn't stick with it.  As I recall, it cost $29.00.

SOPA, Stop Online Pirating Act is simply to try to stop the illegal selling or usage of music and movies.  As we know, this is rampant on the internet and I assume they are just trying to get a hold of the problem.  As with everything else the government does, it does tend to go overboard, as Zurf says.  I don't know enough about it to comment intelligently about it.  I'm afraid they may make it messier than it already is because the internet has no borders.

It's gotta be in his genetics.  I have always wondered how some can do that and others can't.  As you say, he can listen to a lick then play it.  It takes me forever to learn a particular lick and that is only through much practice.

There are different feelings on this one. I do much the same as you.  I go through many songs each day.  But, if there is a particular song I am trying to learn, I usually play it over and over many times.  We are each different in out learning abilities.  Which ever way you are more comfortable with.  You will get lots of different opinions on this.  Anyway, good luck to you.

That's hard to answer easybeat.  I am pretty slow when it comes to learning new songs.  And as you notice I do have mistakes in them, but I tend to be happy with how it turns out the first time recorded.  If you know your chords well, it really doesn't take long.  Maybe a couple of weeks.  Some can learn a new song in a day, but that's not me.  If it is a song that I know the melody well to, I can usualy play them in a week or so.

I'm on a roll.  One more to kick around.

I am guessing you need to use the ChoPro function, then copy and paste to your phone.

One semi tone is up one fret otherwise known as a half tone.  If you hold a note at the first fret then move your finger up one fret on the same string, this is a semi tone.  Two frets would be a whole tone.  Any deeper than that and I will have to defer to others on here.  Don't be too discouraged about not getting an anser, as it is Sunday and generally a slow day here.

I do believe that when Jesus was saying, Come to the kingdom of God, what he was actually saying  was the kingdom of God exists in each of our minds, which is to say, that each of us has the ability to direct our own lives and the outcome is largely up to us.  We should not allow any religious group to sway our thinking, because as stated above, Each of the thousands of religious groups have a different slant on what is right and what is wrong.  And some groups even go so far as to dictate our direction in life and how we should live it. If we can't individually decide what is right and what is wrong, then we are weak minded people.  Our brains are a vey powerful tool and we should use them as such.

I have a really nice hand made suit I bought in Korea in 1998.  Alas it is way too small now.  So, this ailment sounds natural.  What are we complaining about?  It's happening to most of us.  Lets just enjoy it.
