This has squat to do with music or anything, just thought I'd throw it in just because.
I got up this morning and went to make my usual pot of coffee and found a line of ants that led to a huge pile of ants on my counter top. There must have been 1000 of the little#$^%$#@. Anyways still half asleep I reached under the sink to look for something to take em out with.I couldn't find anything but Pledge lemon scented furniture polish.I gave the little #*&%^$^$@ a squirt and inside of 1 minute they all peacefully expired smelling all lemony and everything(how nice for them).I then swept them into the garbage and sprayed the line they took from where they entered the condo and went to work.I got home and ...TA-DA...No ants and my house smells gooder for it.
Chemically wise it must be better than the usual crapola that sometimes works.
Keep it in mind cause it works.

Hey Lena...Cool your lottery was won by people that probably deserve and need it as opposed to Lottery vendors scamming the public and winning the big prizes. It's a problem over here.I wonder if the winners from the last draw are still working there?
Oh well,we only missed it by 30 minutes.

Glad to hear that Roger ![]()
I've never thought about the curvy shape of a guitar body that way before but I see where your coming from.
For songwriting I suppose it depends on the style of song being written, this is just my opinion:
country western...male/female 50/50
pop.......................................40/60
Metal.....................................80/20
Rap................................Who Cares(nothing personal)
Those are my best guesses.

Thanks...I think. LOL So if you were to play an A5 rock and roll chord or a blues chord, would the second half of the chord be called A7?

Hi Jerome.
I have a some tunes that I would like to post but I don't know how to put on Chordie that a power chord is played and what dictates what the key is.Is a power chord the use of just two strings three frets apart?
The same question applies to the traditional blues chords(combination power chord along with your pinky?).How do you put this on Chordie.I think I have it described right but not sure.
Thanks Tons

Hey guys. Thanks for the imput.I've been wanting to quit again the last couple of years but oddly enough the doctor thinks I shouldn't quit just yet as it would be too hard on my already fragile nerves.Coming to Chordie has definitely helped me coming out of my shell and in time (along with recording a tune or two) I WILL be quiting.
badeye.I believe also that my acoustic will help me in this quest. It'll give me something to do with my fingers besides pick my nose LOL
Russell.Sorry to hear about the emphysema.Good to see and hear that it hasn't slowed you down.Keep up the good tunes.
upyerkilt. Its good that you can save your voice for the songs that mean the most to you.Good food for thought.
Thanks Again

Hi upyerkilt.
Good for you for quitting.Very tough to do.The pro's definitely outweigh the con's
Did you ever get that rough sound back in your voice and if you didn't how did that affect your singing style.

Just a question about smoking.I'm not trying to offend anybody.Rod Stewart,Johnny Cash,Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan are great singers. With the exception of Simon Cowle I am a big fan of them all and always will be.

I'm a smoker from way back, started in my early teens and am 54 now. When I was in my twenties I managed to quit for 3 years and for some godly reason I started up again and kick myself everyday for it.I could almost be a healthy, rich man if I did LOL.When I did quit it made a huge difference in my singing voice as I could hit the high notes but for could not get the guttural, whiskey voice needed for many songs.I was just wondering if anyone out there has experienced this and if they managed to overcome it without getting sloshed.
Thanks ![]()

Your so Vain by Carly Simon...Back-up singer...Mick Jagger
Heart of Gold by Neil Young... Back-up singer...Linda Ronstadt

Thanks Phill and daddy.
For as long as war has been around, there must have been many millions that have died on the battlefield alone at night. How frightening and sad it must have been for them.Never leave anyone behind (American motto I think) must give some comfort to those going into battle knowing in their souls that their comrades in arms will do what it takes to try and not let this happen.
No sermon there Phill.War is a topic deserving of discussion.I see us moving in the direction of world peace but I fear there will be a lot more war and bloodshed before we get there.
PEACE
