In the shower. On the thunder jug. Or as I wake up. Words and tune hit me but by the time I get to writing them down....their gone or just don't make any sense!
It's dangerous for me to go noodle on the guitar as I may hit a rhythm or strum a chord sequence which I'll play over and over until some words come. If I don't record it straight away, the next time I try to play it, it will be totally different or just sound not right. That's why my phone and my camera and my tablet are almost full of bits of unfinished songs

thank you Bill, it means a lot to be appreciated especially by guys who've been playing for a long time. it's just a rough cut and i may or may not get around to giving it the full works. love to Dondra

another new song reduced to it's bare bones, actually it's the demo of a new song that i recorded quickly so that i wont forget how it goes, on youtube i'd be ever so pleased if you'd give it a listen.
my big thanks to easybeat, who's already listened and given a thumbs up through email, thanks.

I also have green eyes but my strat is white a la George Harrison during his Bangladesh period. I only used the tremelo arm/whammy bar on Shadows tunes, for other FX I used the heel of my hand. I'm missing it now.... I'll have to get it out of the box and have a noodle.

Congrats on a lovely guitar...I love that PRS, I don't suppose you want to donate it to a worthy charity namely me?

No I don't do comedy....any way, it wouldn't be financially worth it as I'd have to supply magnifying glasses!

Many thanks Peatle and Brian for tuning in and commenting.

Punters....yeah sorry about that. BGD mentioned drunks reminded me of a time many moons ago when a couple of beautiful ladies came a little too close, I didn't mind that until one stepped on the foot of the mic stand and cracked one of my front teeth when the mic shot forward...ah well.

Welcome to chordie Dean. Thanks for the support. How about telling us a bit about yourself? Introduction in a new post please.

Sounds like the wife shopping, goes round a dozen shops the returns to the first to buy!
It's a serious topic yet written in a witty style. Full marks.

Ying and Yang? Lovey dovey and bitter. It actually sounds like it was written by two people; nice to start then you feel the doubt as the song progresses. Well done both, when can we hear it?

That's the first time one of my songs has been compared to a nudist beach lol

Thanks for listening. Trouble is I love multi layering my songs. I'll have to do more raw ones, or just post the demos....

Thanks Jandle, it's sitting on my hard drive at the moment waiting to get finished, along with several others! But your request is noted.

Thanks Jim. You do know that"nailed it" means something different this side of the pond?  Nah, just kidding.

Yes, I play lefty. I do most things right handed and something's left. It annoys Ann when she asks me to rub baby creme on her back....(not like that!) And I put out my left hand and she says "no the other one" I find playing guitar comes more naturally to me lefty. Go figure?

Hi Bill. I did try sending it to you first, but I guess that didn't work? I'm so glad you like it as that means more than anything to me. Give Dondra a hug from me in return, I feel somehow robbed of a nice warm hug from a lovely lady that I feel I know yet never met. I shall search for my local ADA as you suggested.

Thanks again, you're a real friend.

Well....I didn't know you cared.

What I meant was the link?  You found it the same way I did. By scrolling down till I found my old weather beaten features, but where was the link hiding?

a few years back on a new years eve gig the punters got a little over excited and came too close to my space! at my feet are my pedals with the jack plugs sticking out the front! so of course they stood on my jacks and bent them and while trying to straighten them a couple broke...
so now, when i change strings i allow about an inch and a half, (40mm) to stick out so that if the punters come too close they get scratched and i say "oops, sorry about that," but they keep out of my space so it works.

do any of our other performers have naughty but nice ways of keeping their equipment whole?
