Terrific poem!

I had a dream one time that was so real it took me about two days to get it out of my head - I ( no laughing here please!)  actually thought I knew how to fly!
Dreams are so friggin mind messing !

good post my friend and SWEET DREAMS from now on!

Jim

Good one Graham !

Looks and sounds great !
Sure feels like a great deal as well.

Interesting in the comments one guy said his had a plywood body, but it played better than any of his strats.

I am of the persuasion that a good guitarist can make just about any guitar sound fantastic.

I have been missing your videos Graham - used to enjoy them a lot. You have a unique voice and style.
Now that you own  this guitar I will be looking for a new production !  smile  smile

Cool Beans my friend and GREAT to hear from you

Wow
These conversations blow my mind !

I did not realize musicians go through so many strings. I think I have  changed my strings twice the whole time I have owned my guitars.
However, I don't play or practice nearly as often as any of you.
I can't imagine a string breaking - why does that happen? Is it because you strum too hard, bend to much or what ?

Are we skipping 2019 ? smile

Got it now - what a beautiful guitar.  I would love one, but  way ut of my price range. If I had the skills of some the players on here I might consider it, but with my playing ability it would be a poor investment.

Thanks for showing this Russell - and many happy hours of playing this beauty!

Real Nice Russ

Here is a link to  demo - might answer questions on the S1

If I could play like this player - I'd own one for sure.

If I was 30 years younger I'd want to be sitting on the couch with her - forget the guitar! smile

The humor one I listed in last post - maybe some of you could team up to do at the next Chordiestock ! smile

I have two blocks that stand out -
1) My right hand
2) My left hand

smile

In teaching full time, being the athletic director, coaching three varsity sports - my schedule is pretty tight -
My priorities are
1) My Family - then whatever else comes my way.
Guitar playing is way down the list because - mainly I stink at it !

I only really play because it is my avenue to writing which is my release time and my sanctuary away from everything that bothers me.
I leave the playing and singing of my songs to my friends ( where the real talent is)  here on Chordie.

Great topic Bill

Thank you,
   Jim

When I first saw the title- I thought it was an American thing - as in -     we took Manhattan from the Native Americans and then took Berlin from Hitler.

Nice Job Richard

Nice one Richard
That is quite a song with many interpretations... Cohen had a great line when he was asked bout it's meaning  -
he said
"Every succeeding moment changes what has happened the moment before.
In the stream of writing, all that is written changes its meanings by what occurs and what  is written subsequently."

I think this is quite true - many times a song that we have listened to dozens of times and believe it means one thing, then something happens and it takes on a whole new meaning though the lyrics remain intact and is sung exactly the same way.

You did a superb job on this!

That picture is awesome.
All those great amps and speakers you folks have sound amazing.

I have a Marshall and a Fender Frontman - both are plenty for me  anything bigger and my wife would put me out in the barn

Well written Jan

I myself am struggling today as my brother passed away yesterday - blood clots and lung cancer.

Many people fighting brave battles but falling to this treacherous foe of Cancer
