^^ Well, and fly rods... ^^

It can't come soon enough.

I got three sets of Earthwood 12s.  I'm very happy about that.  They work well on both my main acoustics.  I use D'Addario silk and steel 11's on Ol' Reliable.

Elixir nanowebs are good too.  But the Earthwoods are half the price.  The nanowebs may last twice as long under normal circumstances, but I've taken to a very heavy hand with a lot of thumping and smashing about on the strings and therefore busting strings.  Busted strings don't sound so good, and so half the price sounds pretty darned good.  If you read that three times it might begin to make sense.  I recommend listening to some Pink Floyd while reading it.

To be clear, as it seemed to elude some of the folks above, Chordie's songbook is on the My Songbook tab at the top of the Chordie web site.  Chordie does not produce and is not liable for third party apps that claim to be Chordie friendly.  It's a shame the fellow above lost his songbook, but he got several suggestions of what to use to re-export the songs from his Chordie songbook.

I think it's important to take this opportunity to make the tangentially related note that Chordie hosts precisely NONE of the songs.  Chordie allows songs hosted elsewhere to be edited, modified, and saved to a songbook ON THIS PAGE.  We do not, to the best of my knowledge, sponsor or promote any Apple or Android app for exporting songbooks to tablets for later viewing.

Lovely.  Thanks to both of you, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year wishes back to you.

God bless Roscoe and God bless Roger. You've got a good group of folks. You can tell a lot about people by the company they keep, and if that was the only thing I knew about you, I'd still think well of you.

Please come to LA, she said no.  You better come home to Jim.

And Jeff said, Ramblin' Mom why don't you settle down.  L.A.'s not your kind of town.  There ain't no gold and there ain't nobody like Rosco.  So please, come on back to Madeira Beach.

I joined a volleyball team at my church.  I played in high school and college and greatly enjoyed it.  College was 25+ years ago.  Which is fewer years than some of my team mates have been alive.  I ... did... not... do... well... in... practice.  It has been a blast though, and some of my skills did return in time.  I did require a two hour deep tissue massage after one of the practices where bad things happened to my back.  And my shoulders.  And a knee.

Well, tonight was our first game.  And guess what?  We won.  I even scored a couple points.  Of course, I gave away four.   But still, I scored a couple points!

Here's some pictures.  I took them, so I'm not in them.  Except the group shot.

The secret to catfish is eating them panfried for breakfast after staying up all night catching them.  Actually, it's buttermilk and cornmeal.

Proper names for the fish are black crappie and white crappie. They're a kind of panfish that scholl up. Once you find one, you've found a bunch. Big ones go about a pound, mostly bone, so you need a lot of them for a fish fry. They breed two to four times a year and are very prolific. Where there are creel limits on them, it's usually 50 fish.

I love crappie fishing.  Good for the soul.  With all the heart problems, you may not want to serve them fried...

I'm sure the strays will appreciate those.  Good luck in making it through the horrors of snow.

Oh yeah. Gibson. Maybe I'll drop in for that. I've got a game tonight so I'll be sipping herbal tea rather than my usual. But I'll make it in a teapot Normtheguitar gave me so it will be official Chordie brew.

Holy crap Jeff. Just think of the stage mojo that thing's goingvto have!

Pass along a hearty thanks to Bee Rad for supporting Wounded Warrior. That is a terrific charity.
