How about that dress?  And the kiss?  I think weddings are over rated.  A simple wedding with a few close friends and relatives is fine, but when its over, its over.

Alright SouthPaw.  Another SRV fan.  That's right, it doesn't get any better.

I get the old lumpy throat real easy at these things too.  Not sure I could have done as well as you did.

I still say it takes more than just practice to get this good.  You either have it or you don't.

I decided to post one of my all time favorite fast playing songs by Stevie Ray Vaughan.  He was amazing.  Do you have any fast performers you like.  Post them here.

Good for you for bringing them back out, Deb.  I did the same way for years.  Played awhile, then let them sit for years in between.  If I had kept at it steady, I might have been pretty good by now.  But since I' retired 5 years ago, I haven't put it down.  Keep at it and good luck.

The melody draws me to the song.  I either like it or I don't.  Only then, do I actually listen to the words and identify with it.

Glad to meet you Mike.  We have fun here.  A bunch of good people.  I am sure you will come here often, now that you have found it.

Very good, Marty.  I like it.

It's sad that it takes a funeral to get us pointed in the right direction and make us realize, that we do indeed, need to stop and smell the roses, Wayne.  Heed the call, as we all should and take advantage of your insight and slow down and enjoy.  I am sure you will perform well at the funeral.  Good luck, bud.

How do they do that?  Maybe I'll give it a try after I master one.

The correct answers are above, but keep practicing.  That is the only way.  Take two chords, for instance, and play them back and forth.  Do this several times each day and then add another chord as you get better.  Keep adding and keep practicing.  Your fingers will eventually automatically remember where they are supposed to go next without thinking.  I believe this is called muscle memory.  It works.  It just takes time.  And good luck.

Glad to have you here, steelstrings.  I love country, although old country is better for me.

If you want to do it right, learn music theory, but that doesn't preclude you from learning tab as well.  I don't know music theory very well and it is really not necessary, but a good thing to learn.  Just practice a lot and you will get better each week if you keep it up.

I looked all over also and nothing.  I really like Chris Isaak.

Have fun, Zurf.
