Hi ya Wayne, Really glad to hear that things are going well and how your confidence is building.

Sure is tough to get up by yourself and perform. I like the full band setting myself. If I make a mistake

I can look around and act as though it was someone else?lol  Played bass for a garage band last night,

in a garage(oh?), and not having played bass in a band setting for a long time I now have two large

blisters on two picking fingers. Got a gig in a couple weeks so all will be well by then. I'll use a pick when

it fits but we played alot of good country tunes where finger plucking is better for me. Anyway keep on

   having fun.     Mike

Hey Paul, Welcome to Chordie! Looking forward to hear of your 30yrs of guitar experiences. I also
have near the same years but about 10 more in age. There are many members from your
neck of the woods with alot of good talent.             Mike

I agree with you, but as I tend to be wondering what's next for the drug cartels when a large portion

of revenues disappear? Like to see them wiped out , but they are involved in much more than pot.

Isn't this #15 or so for Willie? Don't touch it myself(anymore), but still might with Willie!lol

Hey Craig, I thought maybe I'd give some input on the blues jr. Bought it recently along with a digitech 355

processor. The 6 knob, 1 button (fat) sound, spring reverb, 15 watt is exactly the sound I was looking for.

I haven't given it the stress test in a full band setting, cranked up, but hopefully soon when the work layoffs

arrive. Anyway I'm so far pleased. Blues and southern classic rock seems to be my area. The processor I

feel is accented by the amp settings, especially the reverb. The processor by-pass allows for the amp to

shine by itself. The knob names are upsidedown while looking at the amp from the front but it doesn't take

long to get use to that. Made in Mexico. Worth a test drive if you can. I'm looking forward to getting more

familiar with it, like miking over a pa system etc.     Good luck,  Mike

Hi Zurf, Oh man what a time all of you will have. Hope you find the "right spot". I grew up in Oh., Pa.
and spent time in Charleston, Wva. Beautiful area of the country. I may get a reservation in
once the lump sum hits the bank from the Wa. state lottery?lmao  Wish all a great time.

Hey Dwightski, Also---welcome. Looks as tho you will add spirited thoughts!!!     Mike

All Chordians,  Happy Thanksgiving! Very thankful for the above mentioned, also to be living in

this country. We have so much compared to others.          Mike

Hey Selso,   Also sorry to hear you are having a rough time. In my opinion--just a slump. You are
are going to jump back into the swing of things once your mind settles from thinking so much
of recent events. Listening to music, playing guitar, writing, is in your blood. We all go through
these periods and rebound. There's been other posts on chordie on this subject so don't feel
alone. Let us know when your creativity lights a fire under your........lol                 Mike

Hey Butch, I recently purchased a new digitech rp355 modeling guitar processor. In my opinon a big bang for the

bucks. $200.00 at GC. This unit is full of goodies. I haven't been able to check out all of the function but here

are a few:     drum machine, wah/volume pedal (3 wah types), stompbox mode(chorus-delay-distorton etc.),

tuner, learn a lick mode, 17 second looper, 70 factory presets, build your own presets-70?,

select pickup types, select amp types, aux input for cd-mp3, -----more.          Mike

Belated B-day Badeye, finally got on line after a spell. Did you act surprised when friends showed

up?lol Got one coming up myself soon. Hey - wouldn't it be fun to travel around and jam with chordie

members on their b-day? That would be a blast. Gotta win the lottery first!lol Best wishes,     Mike

Hi Russell,

Perfect! Some of us have to improvise and make due with what we have. Seven years in the USMC

got me there. Leaves us with a good feeling about ourselves when we accomplish things that others

would not even try. Good work!  Southrnrocker might be on to something there. Never enough of

  that stuff(lol).      Mike

Hi Topdown, thanks. It does have a nice clean sound. As for the vid request---- I haven't attempted
any as yet but will try someday. Try one out Jerome if you haven't already. Made in Mexico but

not much made in the U.S. anymore. A little spendy but the quality is good. Hey CK, hacking away

on a highway one tele, american standard strat and hopefully will try out the acoustics on it this

weekend, 81 washburn woodstock A/E.   Enjoy the rest of the holiday,   Mike

Hey all,
After messing around on a few different amps over the last year I finally went with the

fender blues junior. All tube, 15 watts of nice loudness when needed, small with one 12"

and spring reverb. The control knob names are upside down while you are in front of the

amp. One of my buddies says that so the sound man can read them, lol. But no big deal

as the sound is great. To get dirty I also got a digitech 355 modeling processor. It comes

with a lot of sounds and looping and xtras. Labor Day weekend is here so hopefully I'll

get some r-n-r and make some noise. Have a great weekend all!      Mike

Howdy all,
Finally got a day off and don't have to be back to work until wednesday!! So- the package was sent

to the next Chordian and should arrive tuesday if all goes well. Fun to check out some of the goodies

that are in it. I took two small items and Made copies of some of the things so the originals would

stay with it and added a few items as well.       Mike

Hi All, Just to let those that are interested, the package will be heading to a new home next week

Hey all,

Just a friendly reminder that the picks package is alive and well and awaiting a new home.

It may be going to a previous destination if someone in a new locale doesn't jump in and

     claim it.               Mike

Hey Bushy, Topdown,--- Been working so much haven't been on the forum for a while-sorry. Yep, still have
the package. Long trip these picks and things have gone, hate to see them sit but after 60K I would think
they are taking a breather. My work is taking up so much time and energy I haven't even picked up a
guitar for what seems years.lol Sorry Allan I haven't got around to a progression for the poem. Maybe
this weekend. Hope all is well-- the picks need a new foster home!?

Hi all, I recieved the package from Bushy over a week ago and wanted to open it straight away

but decieded to wait til the 4th of July weekend. Curiosity was killing me but my long work

schedule kept me at bay. Opened it today and was quite pleased. Bushy enclosed some great

cd's from Aussie performers along with word sheets etc. This was a blast. First thing we did

was to play along with one of the cd's. Had a great time. Now it's my turn to send it off with

some extras to the next lucky person. Just email me. BTW: We hope you and the Mrs. had

a wonderful anniversary Allan!!!                Mike and the gang

You guys are talking about just lowering the 6th(E) string down to D correct? I think maybe

I was confused with the slide tuning DADF#AD ? I'm sure there is a thread on this subject?

Am I still confused? So many questions-so little time.lol       Mike

Hey Jerome, great explanation! The joke I'll remember and use if you don't mind, sir.
Also sorry for your loss. Mine is also gone as of long ago. I missed out on his widom.
