Good Flybye.  This represents feelings for a lot of us I am sure.  Well done.

Age certainly takes its toll.  People like those mentioned above will probably die on stage.  It is still a pleasure to watch them, no matter how slow they have become.  Chuck Berry is a music icon and will remain so for many years to come.  I will be 60 shortly and still feel young at heart, although with the daily aches and pains, I am also slower than I used to be.  That's life.  We will keep playing in whatever capacity, for as long as we can.  Toots, way to go on the 70 mark.  You are the man.  I hope you are able to enjoy your playing for many years to come.

Dick Clark looked young for way too long.  It's time he caught up with his age.  Yes, it must be the stroke that changed his appearance.

I thought Myspace was gone by now and everyone was on Facelift instead.

They are right on with the repetition.  The more you practice, the better your fingers, or muscle memory will get.  With lots of practice, your fingers will start automatically going to the right positions without even thinking.  It amazing really, how that works, but it does work.  Good luck.

Had me in suspense.

I haven't done anything special for New Years in several years.  I don't even stay up til midnight any more.  I'm an old fart, I guess

Welcome sore fingers.  We all have a problem with motivation at times.  You have to want it pretty bad to stay motivated.  Picture yourself grabbing the guitar at the campfire and playing really well.  That is the key to attaining anything.  Keep that picture in your mind.  Lay awake at night feeling it, imaging you are playing for an audience.  There are many other things to think about, and it will not come at you without lots of practice and sore finger.  I wish you luck. Keep working at it.  And let us know how you are doing.

A wonderful story and as everyone said, fix it up and keep it forever.  It has some great memories with it.  Good luck with the restoration.

I usually don't do resolutions, but I have decided this year I am going to scan all my old pictures into the computer.  We all have boxes of pics and albums and so on.  Well, I am going to save them all as digital files to pass down to my children.

Search for the thread titled, "Friday Blues."  There are a lot of favorite blues songs in there.

Welcome Tspaxton.  You know, most people never find that perfect work they enjoy and you have found it, albeit, late in life.  But late in life is relative, too.  At least you found your calling.  Just keep youself healthy as possible for the rest of your life and enjoy your work.  Liking the work is enough to keep you going for a long time.  A luthier among us.  Alright.  We are glad to have you aboard and look forward to your stories about making guitars.  Stick around and enjoy yourself.  You have earned it.  Good luck.

I am sure that once you start practicing again and get better, that you will also start buying more expensive guitars.  That is what I do for myself as a gift for getting a little better.  It keeps me going.  Good luck with the practice.

Just keep in mind that once you get used to playing that way, that any other six string gutars you play or buy after that may feel a lot different to you, but it really shouldn't be that much of a difference.
