This is our latest song. We are not going to stick to country style or rock or any other style, this has a little caribean flavour, and even though it has a sad defeated lyric, the rhythm is up-beat and happy(?)

You can find this on our Sound Click site. Russ will put it onto our Myspace site soon.

SAD CALYPSO.Undefined

[A] Maybe [Dbm] someday I will [F#m] win you [A] back.

Now I've [D] lost the [E] fight and [Bm] that's a [A] fact.

[A] You found [Dbm] love with [F#m] someone [A] else.

So [D] I don't [E] count, that's [Bm] common [A] sense.

(CHORUS)

[Bm] That wont stop me [E] knocking on your [F#m] door.

[Bm] That wontstop me [E] calling you.

Cos [F] one day you will [E] know the score.

[A] When you [Dbm] loved me [F#m] this I [A] know.

You were [D] true to [E] me, but I [Bm] done you [A] wrong.

You [A] kicked me [Dbm] out and [F#m] that's [A] OK.

But [D] I cant [E] live my [Bm] life this [A] way.

(REPEAT CHORUS>RIFF)

[BRIDGE]

[C#m] Many a [F#m] night I've layed here [Bm] trying to sleep. [D] Drying tears.

[A] I close my [E] eyes and all I [F#m] see is you [G] walking away...[E] [Eaug]

[RIFF OVER VERSE]

[A] Life is [Dbm]full of [F#m] sad [A] regrets.

[D] If I [E] could I'd [Bm] get you [A] back.

[A] That wont [Dbm] happen, [F#m] very [A] soon.

[D] Like [E] reaching [Bm] for the [A] moon.

(REPEAT CHORUS

This is the song Russ wrote a year or two ago. I told Russ how much I love the song so we re-wrote some of it and recorded with my lead vocal. You can find the song on the Harding/Williams My-Space site also on Sound Click.

Church Across The Way.Undefined

[A] Another Sunday morning, with [D] nothing [G] else to [D] do.

But sit here in this [A] barroom having me a [E] few.

[A] And through a smokey window, there's a [D] church [G] across the [D] way.

And alonely bell is [A] ringing, calling [E] folks to pray.

[D] I see [G] little [D] children, in mom and daddies arms.

[A] Holding on so tightly, for shelter from the [E] storms.

[A] They saw me [D] through the [A] window, [D] and I [G] tried my best to [D] hide.

Hung my head in [A] sorrow, at the [E] emptiness [A] inside.

(CHORUS)

[D] Bartender [A] pour my [E] whiskey. [A] Another round of [E] beers.

[D] Dont you [A] start your [E] preaching. Cos [A] I know why I'm [E] here.

(SAME CHORDS FOR EACH VERSE)

They were singing “Rock of Ages , in that church across the street.

And my mind drifts back slowly, and I thought of you and me.

Then through this smokey window, I was outside looking in.

And wondering how a man, could waste his life in sin?

(REP CHORUS)

And it hurts me to remember, and I drink to ease the pain.

My whole world went crazy, when she walked out that day.

Now my church is this here barroom, and I attend it every day.

I may not get to heaven, cos hell stands in my way.

(REP CHORUS >SOLO OVER VERSE & CHORUS)

If there's a God in heaven, and I believe there is.

Help her find her way Lord, back to me again.

Please take these prayers and wishes, and lead me there some day.

To that church where they're all singing. That church across the way.

(CHORUS X 2)

hi russ, i just came up with a great idea for not falling out of bed or having nightmares.....dont sleep! stay on-line 24/7, that way when i try to get hold of you, you'll be there....selfish huh?

funny, when i get bad dreams, i'm usually naked, but nobody seems to notice!   now that's a bad dream. so why arent everyone else naked too? my dreams are no fun.

hope to be on-line tomorrow (thursday) i've been so tired with the new job, i just get home and go to sleep....no bad dreams though.

talk soon buddy

Hi Jody,

Thanks for the review, glad you liked what we've done. We'd done several ballads and I needed a bit of rock'n'roll to save my sanity. I must say though, when I first bought a guitar, way back in the mists of time, I got a guitar tutor book, I think it was called "Chord or guitar in a day" so I decided to learn a new key every day (just the chords). I actually found G to be the hardest chord to play! But once I got into barre chords it all fell into place. So keep on keeping on.

I have never been a member of the constabulary and I dont think Russ has either, I am 58 and as you know Russ is a little older, maybe that's why he's better at the guitar than me?

This is the latest from us, inspired by something Russ said; "keep your nose to heaven and your ass to the devil"....well I had to change it a little. It's a bit rocky, and should be on our My-Space now

EYE TO THE SKYUndefined

(Intro.)

Dreaming of you all my life, and the promise of love – forever.

Love is forever, and it will never.

Shatter your heart and your dreams.

The [A] last five weeks have been the [Bm] worst five weeks.

I've ever [F#m] lived in my life – [G] lived in my life.

[D] No lonely road I ever [A] walked in my life, has been as [Bm] lonely as this road.

I've [G] walked down with you.

[A] No empty room I ever [Bm] sat in before, has been as [F#m] bare as this room.

[G] Cold as this room.

[D] And if I ever make it [A] out of this gloom, I'm gonna [Bm] leave it all behind.

[G] Eyes to the [A] sky.

(CHORUS)

[D] Eye to the sky, [G-D] back to the wall.

[Em-Bm] The things you say dont mean [A-G-A]nothing at all.

[D] I've heard it all, [G-D] believed your lies.

[Em-Bm] Back to the wall and my [A] eyes to the [D] sky.

(BRIDGE)

[A] Oh how you cry when you dont – [D] get what you want. [Em] Get what you [D] want.

[A] And how you laugh when I fall – [D] over and down. [Em] Over and [A] down.

SOLO OVER CHORUS X2

[A] They say that [Bm] heaven awaits for the [F#m] good and the brave.

The [G] knight and the slave.

[D] And if I [A] give-up my life, [Bm]what waits for this slave.

A [G] trip to the [A] grave?

(CHORUS)

(REPEAT BRIDGE > REPEAT CHORUS)

(Outro)

Dreaming of you all my life, and the promise of love-forever

Love is forever, and it will never

Shatter your heart and your dreams....

I apologise to all those wonderful people who commented, but to change the title I had to delete the original song, and with it your comments...sorry. So I have re-posted the song with the new title and invite you all to comment again. If you'd like to hear the song, you can find it on the "my-space" link at the bottom.

Just to say, it's not like Russ to be coy, but he did a lot of the word composing, he made me work harder than I would normally bother to eg: remixing, rewriting and adding a line or two. He also composed all the music. We did have a laugh at the RamaKarmaDingDong thing (as in rama lama ding dong?) but we felt it might offend some people and that is not our intention.
I didn't realise or recognise any similarity to Magical Mystery Tour, though it is one of my favourites! I got the sitar sound from my tone generator a Yamaha MU50, and it's played on a Korg K61P. Nice sound? yeah yeah yeah.

A Sign From You.   Harding/Williams

I am light years away from you love, so far away.
I can feel your heart beating softly, so far away.
Hear me, I'm coming home. Hear me, I long for you.
Out there, the stars and me. Waiting for a sign from you.

And so the day comes. Night holds it's coat tails and runs.
All praise the morning sun. And I am closer to you my love.

Incense is burning like fragrance of mir love, can you feel the heat?
Riding sunbeams of emotion, fragrance is so sweet.
See me, I am here. See me, I would speak with you.
Airless void to mother Earth. Waiting for a sign from you.

And so the day comes. Night time holds it's tail and runs.
All praise the morning sun.
All praise the morning sun.

Stars fall like rain from the heavens, is that a sign from you?
Silver orb in crimson sky love. Is that sign from you?
Light years, that far away.  Still I know I will see you again.
Out there so cold and alone. Longing for my Earthly home.

And so the day comes. Night-time holds it's coat tails and runs.
All praise the morning sun. I am closer to you my love.

I can face this long lonely journey, if I can be with you my love.
Through the blackness, cold and abandoned, if I can be with you my love.
I am but a star amongst stars. See me glow in a cloudless night.
Will my glory last but a second? If I can be with you my love.

And so the day comes. All praise the morning sun.
And so the day comes. All praise the morning sun.

I am light years away from you love, so far away.
I can feel your heart beating softly, so far away.
Hear me, I'm coming home. Hear me, I long for you.
Out there the stars and me. Are waiting for a sign from you.
A sign from you.
A sign from you.

So-long, GoodbyeUndefined

[Bm] Am I running away or just [C] leaving you?

[Bm] Driving away `cos you [C] want me to?

[Fmj7] I just so sad, we've lost what we had.

[C] Forgive me if I let you [G] down.

[Bm] Is this a game or the [C] consequence?

[Bm] We were lovers, now you only [C] want to be friends.

[Fmj7] I wanted more from you, I wanted all of you.

Too [C] much, I wanted too [G] much.

(BRIDGE)

[Fmj7] Saying goodbye is so [Bb] easy.

When [Ab] someone else is on your [Eb] mind.

[Fmj7] Maybe I'm wrong to run [Bb] away from you.

Love [Fmj7] can be so unkind.(and I say)

(CHORUS)

[Dm] So-long goodbye, I [G] love you. (if you just loved me too)

[Dm] So-long, goodbye, I [G] love you.(if there was something I could do).

Laughing all night, drinking wine.

Your eyes said “make love , were they lying?

You gave me that smile, and for a while.

My whole world was loving you.

We kissed, I thought “this feels right to me .

You changed like the wind, yes you turned on me.

Don't give me that look, don't give me that smile.

You've hurt me, don't pity me too.

(BRIDGE)

Saying good-bye is so easy.

When someone else is on your mind.

Maybe I'm wrong to run away from you.

But I cant see you with another guy.(But I say).

(CHORUS)

So-long good-bye I love you. (If you just loved me too)

So-long good-bye I love you. (If there was something I could do).

It's easy loving you baby. Ooh, it's easy.(So-long goodbye, I love you)

It's easy loving you baby. Ooh, it's easy. (So-long, goodbye, I love you) TO FADE
