Winter is coming around my way
I’m starting to spend a bit more time at home
I roam to find what makes people
Move away from their home
The internet for some is
An escape from the world.
For me the real world
Is my escape from the internet
A digital native
Or a digital nomad
Not for me
Summers coming the skies are blue
Then they're gray then their blue again
The rain is drizzle
The sun is hot
My grass is growing
My desire is not
I want to cut the grass but I just can't be bothered
The interweb is there I don't want what's being offered.

brilliant writing chaps
fell asleep last night
with my laptop on my lap
woke this morning
with the drone of my phone
cant seem to forget
about the internet
Bit good of writing there by all 3 of you. Keep them coming, they put a smile on my face reading them.

Civilization is not about old or young
It is about talking
Though sometimes I wish I had bit my tongue or zipped my lip
Difference between intimidation and a welcoming community
Can lift or destroy a whole nation
The online reality is not the real reality
People who have time for people have life
More than one person sitting on a bench talking
Is better than more than one person sitting on a bench
Looking at their devices
Not talking
I don’t need algorithms to make me feel good
Just someone on a bus smiling or saying, “hi” makes my day
Is it all about my or someone else’s age
It is hard to say
Good humanity can be a simple act
Of a young person helping an old person
Cross the road

I like tech, I even like the infernalweb at times! If all sites were like Chordie; polite, helpful and above all else no bad language. Yes we all let fly at times with swear words but being adult is knowing when and when not to. A civilised conversation across the world with people of like mindedness is brilliant. Long live civilisation!
Piri, to me the big worry is the internet changing what it means to be human. Convivial discussion on the internet is great but I'm starting to see more examples of the opposite. Chordie is good though there is just not enough people participating on here nowadays. Long live civilization and long may we all be cynical about the reliability or safety of the internet.!
Pedr. Safety while on the net must be everyone's priority. I always think: if it sounds too good to be true its most likely a scam. Shred it
