I love the Eagles.  They have a great style.  Here's a Bruce Springsteen

One other thing.  You can probably tap your foot to the beat of the music while singing.  Now instead of tapping, imagine your foot tapping is the strumming and just take off singing the melody.

AC/DC, Old Doll?  You've plainly set the standard higher.  OK, here goes. Shake it. Led Zeppellin comin' up.

That is sad to hear and some good lyrics there.  Kind of haunting.

Would have been a good song for that, Old Doll.  Ozy, E,L and P was a great group.
So was Steppenwolf.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3PRV5Js … re=related

Sounds like you at least have ther ability to sing the right note.  Then you will be able to get better with lots of practice.

I have never had singing lessons per say.  I was in chorus every year of high school and I learned a lot that way I suppose.  Singing is almost, either you can sing in key or you can't.  If you can sing in key, it really doesn't matter how you sound.  In my opinion.  I am sure singing lessons can help this over time.  So, the big question is can you sing in key or hold a note easily, but just have a bad or coarse voice?  And like anything ealse, practice, practice, practice.

Skip James

I am the same tony.  That is why I have been strumming and a little finger picking with fingers only for several years now.  But now I am trying to get back to the pick.  They turn in my fingers and I drop them.  I am going to try a Fred Kelly Bumblebee pick if I ever order it.  That might do the trick.

I feel your pain.  I don't have migraines, but I do suffer from cluster headaches.  Have had them since 1989.  They are the worst pain known to man.

I agree with that quote, but I have seen some who just don't do well being themselves.  You know some of these.

In keeping with the same vein.  Has anyone here ever wondered why they are not better guitar players than they are?  Of course, we all wonder that, don't we?  Here is the the secret to great guitar playing and anything else you may want to be great at.

Just as you think you see the world through straight eyes and have figured out what is going on, someone comes up with a different perspective.  It is these different ways of looking at things that give you that old Ah ha moment.  This one really hits home with me.
