I dont know all of it just that it started with the law suites against some websites that allowed downloading of copyrighted songs for free and then the beatles songs were removed and Chordie was threatened with being shutdown by a company that purchased the rights, all of the history is located in some other thread in this forum.:)

It has a much more funky feel then i imagined, but a good feel to it.
Its a wonder to know technology can allow the interaction of musicians across the globe. You guys make it look easy though!

Very well done. Congrats to both.

it isn't its instrumental, the only thing I am advocating is a little humor there is no profanity involved or isms just a play on words this is not intended as a pro or anti stand on this issue nor do I wish it to become one if any controversy develops over a little tongue and cheek humor I will remove the topic there are more serious things to be concerned with smile

Maybe you should name it detus feletus...that way it doesn't sound like an abortion song smile haven't got to listen to it yet though...

David perhaps you should  go to your teacher and let him show you, timing is not something you hear its felt like the rhythm of your heartbeat, natural, effortless so you can let the creativity of your thoughts play the melodies in your mind smile

Hi Jody I see a few of your songs in the forum but with my chess tournaments and my own music I dont get to hear as much I will find some time and I appreciate your nice words all the tracks are layerd one at a time both Phill and I play several instruments and have good recording equipment so it really makes it easier smile

I don't know how ya do it?  But, it's good!!  I've never heard one of my songs with anything but a solo acoustic guitar.  I can't imagine how proud you must feel hearing your work with full band instruments.  Bravo!  Good song, Good beat.

Ark when Phill sent me the track to listen to the header on the email was "your not going to like this" well I thought it was a nice change of pace from the first arrangment and a lot of fun comming up with something that would lend itself to his idea yea there was quite a lot of mixing but it was worth it thanks Ark for your comments smile

Well done on another first rate collaboration.
Liked all the tracks in the mix and the finished piece. Importing and mixing tracks from different sources is not always easy to do but you guys seem to be getting it down well.

hi CK and a big welcome to Chordie,I am also 68 and a little hard of hearing sometimes even understanding lol I have experienced the same thing while printing a song it could be changing the size of the font (letters) may have had something to do with it if you have a preview feature on your printer check and see if the chords are above the words before printing if that cant clear it up one of the other members can chime in and offer further assistance happy picking, russell smile

Russell was wrong? I dont recall telling you the disk would work. when I spoke of Nero in another thread I was referring to the burning program not a disk smile

tony eaves wrote:

Hi Tony,
Looks like Russell was wrong, the disk will not work in my computer, it will let me up-grade to fit my system, but at a cost of £40, so I wont be doing that, but thanks very much.
You have not sent me a return address, just send me a private e-mail and I will send it back with the postage that you paid.
Thanks again TonyBlue

well speaking for myself its really nice to hear some positive feedback on this collaboration not sure but I think Phill played the drums manually but I agree it would have been nice to have a real live person laying the rhythm track on a kit perhaps in the future this will be possible but I appreciate your comments thanks guys smile
