WOOHOO!!! I GOT IT!!!!

IceCubeTray was right!! He had the first 2 chords nailed...and I found the third.

1st chord: 077700
2nd chord: 077500
3rd chord: 077600

I am SOOOOO HAPPY!!!

Still trying out more of your chords for the ending of the song.
It's only two chords...just gotta figure out which two.

Then I can play the whole song through and add a nice lead with my RC-2.

Wow, Thank you Roger and Icecubetray3pak.

hehe..yeah, I hardly ever have any requests that are easy lol.
I can't wait to try these out on my morning 15 minute break.
Icecubetray...you're right on the chords being moody. Ambient/shoegaze music is always dreamy.

Thanks again!!

Awesome!! Thank you!
I have tried contacting the band as well but no results so far.

I will try the chords you posted and keep on trying.

Thank you,

Hmmm....maybe I better stick to my "George Benson" lead following routines before I get into singing too much.

It comes together somewhere between the 50th and 100th time you rehearse the song. smile

Oh crud...

Greetings,

There is a song that I have been trying to figure out for the past 3 years.
I love it soooo much but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out what the chords are. I have run it through analyzer software and the software got close but still not the exact chords.

I have uploaded the song to a share space since the band doesn't have the song available on youtube yet.

It's called "Summer left me" by Bethany Curve.

http://www.4shared.com/audio/YJS9d16l/B … ft_Me.html

The chords I need kick in at around 30 seconds into the song.
If you can help at all I would be so thankful.

thanks,

Hey yeah! You're right! I've wanted to come out and jam with you this year anyway.
My lab space is still available if the Chordie Crew wanted to jam one saturday.

I may be passing my Yamaha along to another person (freebie) if I can find an acoustic with a neck as thick as my electric. (TMNF-FAT)

Of course, all of this rotates on if the wife allows me to buy it...lol.

Kewl, I don't feel so bad now.
I've recently started "Attempting" to sing and play at the same time.
So far, I can only sing&play "Move it on over" and the first half of "Someday I will treat you good"

At what point does it all come together and just flow?

Hallelujah!
God is so good!!

Glad to hear the news bud.

Wow, sounds like the scientific community isn't far from pulling a "Wolverine" move on people...
Maybe there will be an option for a metal-bonded skeleton and knife-claws soon...lol.

You can do anything you put your mind to!
And I refuse to do anything on the guitar just because it's been done that way for ages....unless it works out for me of course. If it doesn't, I'm doing things my own way.

Electric strings on an acoustic are great for me and my style. But I wouldn't put anything smaller than 10's on there unless you're got a REAL LIGHT touch. But that's just me, I can't play with 9's or thinner on my electric either...

Meh...i use electric guitar 10s (Ernie Ball) on my acoustic.
But I like the more mellow sound that it gives and they're a heck of a lot easier to play the blues on than acoustic strings and I can get my full bends and slides sounding right.

I jump around with whatever chords are playing.
Knowing how to move around the fretboard non-sequentially is the largest part of being an effective Lead Guitarist.

And not just jumping around within the notes....but jumping around within the octaves of the scale you're playing in.
(Like playing a bit of the scale on the lower part of the neck, then finishing the scale at the upper part of the neck where it repeats)

I also have the AC30 and it has simplified my gear that I have to carry when I go for rehearsals.
I just carry my amplug and route the headphone signal to the mixer board or DI box with a converter cable and I'm golden. All I need to carry besides that are spare AAA batteries.

Love the tone, love the flexibility and it's so easy to carry. The only thing is that it kinda sticks out the back of the guitar a bit and can be broken if you knock it too hard.

Agreed wholeheartedly.

(Dangit, you guys are getting me teary.)
But good friends are hard to find...hold on to them with all you have.

Dm

Oh, they're paying for it already.
I have resolved to study the first book myself since I already have knowledge of windows 7....But the other tests I'm taking boot camps for. If they won't pay for the boot camps then I will find out if they will give me more time to pass it on my own and I will put all of the "Extra" study sources I need on my company card.

You know what...thats the same thing my wife said! She said that even if I don't get to keep the paper, I can still put it on my resume that I'm MCITP certified and its not like companies won't honor that.

AND I still keep the knowledge and experience....which is worth everything!

Thanks for the break advice too, I had almost forgotten my friend because I was so stressed and scared.
We spent a few minutes together last night and I realized I hadn't hung out with him in 2 days! Longest time in a while....

Thank you for all the well wishes, experience stories and helpful ideas everyone.
This is the first real training I've had since I took the prep course for the PMP...which I failed horribly.
Mainly because I had no interest in project management and hated the job I had at the time.

I'm certain that this cert can take me to other places combined with what I already have. I will just have to study hard and use every resource I can find to pass these tests.

Once it's over I don't have to worry again for another 7 years...lol.

=p
Dm

Wow, Thanks!
That is exactly the situation, they mentioned that to me a few months ago.
Now that a few certified people have left they are selecting others to carry the cert-armor.

Why they chose me for such a HEAVY cert I will never know. All I asked for was the Security+ cert...and I get this whopper...lol.

Well, they either have great confidence in me.....or they're insanely desperate.

I've downloaded some secondhand videos for the "Server 2008 administration" test (next test) for after I finish the Win-7 one. Right now, I have found another person that has taken the test that has sent me his notes. They're not seeming like much more help than this rickshaw MS-Press study guide...but everything counts.

Dm

Thank you for the encouragement brother.
I, seriously, have not been this scared in years.

They are paying for the books. I don't think they will let me take the class training though. i'm not sure that it would help someone like me anyway...I learn by doing, not by hearing.

I will find out who gets to keep the paper when I get to work tomorrow.
If "They" get to keep it...I'll take the first 2 tests and call it a wrap after that.
If "I" keep it....I will keep on trying and retaking tests if I have to...until they yank my company card.

They told me something about "I have to finish by the end of the year" or else they lose accreditation or something...

Dm

Greetings,

My job has selected me to take the MCITP and I'm scared senseless. I don't know whether to go on or quit right now and I've got no one to talk to about this around me.

I have this Microsoft training book on "Configuring Windows 7" in front of me that is like 500 pages long. I've gotten through the first chapter and passed the practice exam (After 3 tries) for that first chapter but now I'm into the 2nd chapter and I feel like hiding under my desk.

None of the examples are working out the way the book outlines and i'm starting to wonder if I need to be doing this. Are they setting me up for failure? Are they gonna fire me if I don't pass this thing? How am I supposed to read five 500-page books and take the tests as well in 5 months AND perform my job duties AND still do anything besides study when I get home from work!?!?!?!

I'm so freaking out here...I am scareder than I can remember in a long time....
=[
I'm sorry if I am bugging anyone...I just don't know what to do.

If I pass this (Configuring windows 7) first books' test (70-680) do I get that certification? Or do I have to pass all 5 tests to get anything at all?

Oh yeah...I have till the end of this year to complete it all.

Help please....

Hehe! I have been playing guitar for two months now. I hated the F chord with a vengeance and avoided it. Then I decided I had to do it. I use the barre chord. Then I just learned it, and had a stroke and went to hospital, losing the use of my fingers. I came back home and was so stubborn I have worked on it for the past two weeks and I have it back. It is possible. If I can do it anyone can.

Now THAT is an awesome testimony!!
Keep on keeping on!

If you're up for a really sweet blues tone and are willing to swap out the neck pickup of your guitar, Try a Charlie Christian pickup in the neck.

It doesn't get sweeter than that.
