Way to go Cameron.  You don't have to be good necessarily to help someone.  We are always better than someone.

I am looking for some songs, any genre, that not only have good emotional and feeling lyrics, but also ones that sound as if the singer is singing to her soul.  Here are some that I think fall into this category.

I think you get the idea.  They have to have a great, almost sexy sound with emotional lyrics.  I know there are plenty out there, but I don't know as many as I would like to.  Can you guys give me some more ideas?  I would appreciate it very much.  If they make you cry when you're singing them, all the better.

I don't know if they suck, but I am not into their music style, so I'll leave it at that.

A log with finely tuned strings. Loguitar.  Very deep bass sound

I drink a pot of coffee every morning.  Usually stop by noon.  I used to drink it all day, even until I went to bed.  Old age has stopped that.  But, gotta have my coffee in the morning.  No ifs and or buts.

Two great influences on me were Bob Dylan and Donovan back when I was  a teenager in the 60's.

Sports have sports medicine and you have Musicians medicine.  A whole new ball game.  Could be lucrative

Yeah, Upyerkilt.  You play for free at all the pubs and get free beer.  That is my kind of compensation.  Will play for beer.

I always set a goal for when I get better than I am right now(it's all relative) and I am playing most every day, then when I reach that goal, I buy a better guitar.  I have to retain the interest and excitement of playing before I decide to do it.  If I don't get any better, there is really no use in upgrading.  This theory keeps me going because I am always excited about a new guitar.  Works for me.

I agree with topdown.  All that fishing can slow down the beer drinking.

The best thing to do would be to go to Youtube and enter in some of your favorite singers and have a listen.  When you find something you like, come back here and get the tab.  I like old country alot and I do that often.

I like a good movie as well as anyone, but I don't go see new movies very often.  Maybe twice a year. And I don't rent movies very often.  What a stick in the mud I am.  One of the most recent ones I saw and really liked was Wild Hogs.  I'm not sure of bad movies.  I do get tired of things like wedding movies.  It seems as though they are quite popular among the females, but weddings are over rated.

Favorite movie?  Worst movie?

Maybe you will start getting lots of orders and have to hire twenty people to keep up.  Sounds great.  Good luck

It sounds like you have problems with strings indeed, Charlotte.  I have never had any of these problems and I have had strings in their package for a few years in some cases.  But, then I live in a dry climate.  I am sure the company will weigh all the variables, how did you store them and where?  Is it humid there, as I'm sure it is.  Anyway, hopefully they will send you a new set or two.  Good luck

I don't know the decibel level, but you can strum and pick without a pick.  It is not as loud and your fingers on that hand will toughen up slightly over time and allow you a little brighter sound later on.  This is how I play and I am happy with the sound.  Good luck.

Emotion is the essence of good music.  With out emotion it wouldn't be good, in my opinion.  As a matter of fact, I think we owe it to our audience to let the emotions flow when we do a song.

Far out, buvvy, as we used to say.  John Mayall, all right.  Used to be one of my favorites.  I, too have older kids and even grandkids who like a lot of the 50's and 60's.  Go figure.  Go Woodstock.

Yes, but hard to dance to, Kajima.
