butch do not take thier word as the end,I was in a bad motercycle wreck in the 1970's and did alot of damage to my fingers,they told me the same and I can still play guitar,I started flex my fingers before they gave me thier "blessing". That was three fingers almost down to the bone.

I have been playing some kind of musical insterment since I was five yr's old but switched too guitar in jr Hi, I did want it at that time for the chicks,but I have always enjoyed playing alone or in front of someone. I flat out love too play and will do so till I can not.

Hi astro,he sounds like he is leading you in the right direction,to me it sounds like he will be taking you where you may have known you would need to go to. I need to go there too,I know some of it but it would help me get to the next step.

I hope you find someone,mabe you can talk to the audience and see if someone out there will help you,or call some local clubs too see if they know someone who comes too open mic nights who may help.

Jerome first of all a big thank you for all the help,your input is giving me a good education,as well as helping me decide on what I want personally down the road. I am sure pete feels the same. I will continue to check out all of your recomendations. Right now I am just teaching my grandaughter the guitar via video mail mabye someday I will do something online.

I care about my guitars,I guess I will get warm and fuzzy when I get a Martin.
