Maybe you've gone soft. As I read it, you have turned into a bald chick(non-dude)? That might have something to do with it. No, I'm sure of it, you said "owie" and that's the clincher. You're officially a girl. Maybe try to fight a bear or mountain lion on your next wilderness outing to help turn you back into our Zurf.

No pain, no gain....

I don't really have any problems with it. I get on, get in, and get out. I can't remember the last time I just surfed around Youtube.

Awesome looking wood on that thing!!!! But, too gaudy for my taste. Too much fluff. I was getting nervous with him flipping and swinging it around so close to that stucco wall. Scratch/dent = bad.

3d printing has been around for awhile. It used to be used to make a part so a mold could be made of said part and then lots of said parts could be made from the mold. It's especially good for test fits and that sort of thing because the plastic can be easily worked. That way you don't have the high cost of machining a new part that doesn't fit. Cool stuff tho. I don't know if will completely change the way things are done. As I understand it, 3d printing isn't a good choice for production work. Molten plastic and molds are still much faster than 3d printing. But it does fill a niche and would be a cool toy to have.

Wow, I'm jealous that he has $6500 to spend on guitars.

What would you go back in time to see? Only to see not to be involved.

You can't pick:
Creation of the universe, earth, life, that sort of thing.
Anything religious.

Here's a few of mine.

Some of the World's Fairs back in the 1800s - 1930s. If I had to pick one it would be the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. This was the first time electricity was used to power the fair.

When JFK was shot.

Roswell crash to find out what really happened.

How the Egyptian pyramids were built.

I also have a list of military jets I would like to have seen the first flight of.

The only reason he can get away with singing like that is because he's old and crazy.

If you're looking at a blank screen and haven't touched it since it disappeared then you can try ctrl z. That's the standard undo for most programs.

Just perusing the songbooks and came across this one:

So many songs I had forgotten about. I have 10 up on my screen right now ready to chart out.

That was very interesting. I think that would be a cool job to have out in the forest like that.

I watched a few of other Taylor vids too.  The Spruce part 2 was neat. I like the bear claw he talked about. I don't know if it's actually always caused by bears, but it looks as if the the tree had been injured and the scar has healed.

The Grafted Walnut one was really cool. Awesome how the grafts become part of the tree as if it was just born that way.

The Maple was super cool. I had no idea that 3 diff grains come from the same piece of wood depending on the cuts. Fascinating stuff. The piece of quilted maple he showed was awesome.

The Koa on was short, but I didn't know it was such a rare tree.

Learned me some new stuff today!!!!

I fell your pain Cam. It wouldn't be a days work if I didn't come home with a cut, scrape ,splinter, smashed, or bruised hand. I say give it a couple days to heal up and then give it another try. Hands seem to heal faster than other parts of the body. Maybe some tylenol or advil for the pain.

If it's something more serious than a callous then you might have it looked at. And like Jeep said, take little breaks.

And BTW, welcome to Chordie.

Happy birthday to you......

Good thing you can't hear me sing this!!!

JJJ I'm thinking it's just you. Maybe that substance abuse had something to do with it?

I'm with Dino. There's always a bright side. Zurf was able to get in the attic and clean it out, take a hot shower, and has some picking time to look forward to. Dj had a chance to enjoy his daughters company and the fresh air outside. Despite how rough things are, they can always be worse. I say raise a glass and be thankful for all we can do and all we have. Then, strum that thing it's collecting dust!!!!!!

Glad your guitar didn't drown Dj!!!

Hi all,

Every so often i will Google "free guitar picks" and see what I can find. I found this one last night:

www.besaudio.com

Click on the free picks ad and then add to cart, etc... You have to register as if you're buying something. I got a confirmation e-mail this morning. So we'll see if it happens.

I'm with DJ. I just like playing. I do think a lot about playing during the day. But often times when I get home I am just too tired to pick it up. When I do tho, I'm glad I did. Also, for me, it's all the cool songs out there that I want to be able to play. I have a group of about 20 at present, that are charted out ready to go. Then another set of at least 30 that I want to chart out and add to my other group. If I could only knock out more than I add......

A whole lot of nothing!!!! Can't afford to really get away. Maybe a trip to Nevada to see my parents. Other than that, just slaving away.

Glad I'm not the only who needs just a phone. I'm in construction and I need a small phone that will fit in my leg pocket. It need to be flip phone cuz I would smash a smart phone screen the first time I lean on something. I was looking to upgrade recently and there were only 3 flips available. I might be out of luck soon.
