Just started building a new guitar ,Strat body Tele neck.I've wanted to do this for a while as I love the feel of my Tele neck .Got all the bits now so I'll see how it goes together.First thing is the Tele neck has a flat squared off end as opposed to the curved end of the Strat ,so I will reshape the Tele to match the Strat profile and make sure it sits properly in the body. The thickness where it fits into the body seem to be the same so as long as I get it positioned right I don't see any major problems.I'll let you know how it progresses.

I have done this Russell but like I said I've been experimenting with the trio to see if  I can get away with using it live. However the Latino  and reggae rhythms are a little problem at present,so for the foreseeable future I'll probably stick with my loop for  this genre

Not a great success Russell so far .However I included a version in the set I did today for a fund raiser for the local Air ambulance.I played it with a rock rhythm and used my imagination a bit. Went down really well .Different and not the way we used to do it with GB Blues in Greece, but still fun.

Probably Russell might answer this .Has any one managed to achieve a Latin rhythm with a trio .I'm trying to get a backing for oye Como va .I normally use one I created with my keyboard but I'm experimenting at the moment.

I've been on the same bill as Hugh Corwell from the Stranglers ,had a beer with Steve Hilllage ,Kev Ayres and Mike Oldfield. And jammed with some of Greece's finest over the years.I'm lucky to live in an area inhabited by many famous folk musicians ,nearest is Mike Harding who lives about a mile up the road.

Ok I'll start the ball rolling cos its time I  did

So sorry to hear of this Bill  my thoughts are with you both.

Tomorrow I will use two digitech trios  live at Harrogate blues bar. Usualy I record the trio onto my loop but I feel the sound is better this way .I can have six pre sets with the two pedals which is adequate for the  half hour set. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ok thanks I'll try and transfer it to you tube

Think I might have a recording from way back when we had the weight in the set.I'll post it if I can find it.I havent had much time to record any thing latley.

I've stopped bothering ,I just have my stand with the words ,if Pete Townsend had to do it at Glastonbury then who am I to not do likewise.lol.

Awesome Floyd cove Mojo loved it

Nice job Jan you gave it a kind of reggae feel .Some of the phrasing in this song is hard ,I sometimes struggle ,I like your version ,it's good to see how others interpret a song. This is a good thread.

Hi Jan ,been a bit tied up of late and preoccupied with new house project ,new car and ongoing throat problems.I've listened to all the versions and I must applaud the artists who covered the songs each had its own slant which I think is how a cover should be attempted.Well played every one.

Probably won't be able to do either of these as I've still got throat problems which are preventing me singing ,no gigs booked till May so hopefully back in tune before then.,enjoyed listening to last month's renditions.
