I also like old rock, but tend to stay away from it because it is more difficult to learn for me.  So I tend to play old country and old 50's and 60's rock and roll because they generally use the simpler chords. I love blues, but haven't taken the time to learn the songs either.  I'm a mess, but I really enjoy most older music.

It never hurts to try something different.  You can always change them back.  I used to use medium lights all the time, but slowly went to mediums and thats the end of the line.  I love mediums.  They just sound better.

Welcome Guitar Hacker.  I'm not good on the electric side.  We'll tryto keep this thread on top and you will get a lot of answers I'm Sure.  Good luck buddy.

It's really hard to believe they had these girls for 10 years.  And the guy that finally rescued them is ok in my book.  I am sure we will hear a lot more in the upcoming weeks.

I seem to remember a group in the 60's called the Duprees.

Those are cool.  I like Michael Buble.  Pretty classy

Glad to meet you Russell. Wow, two Russells.  That can't be good.  I'm 62, been playing off and on  (mostly off) for many years. Guitar has turned into a wondereful hobby since I retired and can give it more of my time. Come back often and talk with us.

Way too much money.  You can't always get what you want I guess.

I enjoyed quite a few of the Monkees tunes as a young guy.  They weren't the best, but they had some good songs.  Can'\t say much for their dumb TV show though.

That sounds like a fun experience.  I'll bet you get some bites from the local bars.  Let us know how it turns out.

Solution D.  Get rid of those damn guitars.  Oh, I guess that's not a viable solution.

Its always sad to here of the old artists passing away.  I hadn't heard about George Jones yet.  That is sad.

Usually if it says capo, it just means that is where to original is played.  Disregard it and play where it suits your voice.  A capo is used for allowing you to sing at your own comfortable key.

He is an amazing man.  great performer.  I've never seen him live, but would love to. Him and SRV are right up there in my book.

You'll never get over it.  Playing a higher end guitar and forgetting about it is impossible.  Just save up and shop around for a long time and then get that nice expensive guitar.  You owe yourself.
