that seems to be the favourite advise in chordie and the entire world for anything, lol.

But it is true.

Goodluck with your practicing, you will find a way round your ..... your....... I dont know what to call it lol around your fingerless situation?

I know a guy that plays guitar and he only has one hand. His right arm from the elbow down is not there. He now has a metal thin that fixes onto his arm and at the end is only a plectrum.

As well as some you have heard here with obstructions to playing they all find a way round. If you want something or want to do something bad enough you will.
So,, ,lol, here it comes again...
Practice.

All the best

Ken

also seen a guy on you tube playing guitar for a living  with no arms and uses his feet only ... amazing blues stuff he plays  ... puts people like me to shame .

Perhaps a family member or same person using the same pc might want a seperate account ... perhaps you could try logging off and then find the site again and use a different email address ... not sure if that would work but sounds like the only option .

I dont understand whats being said here about the C chord ... as  the chord as i know it is played with all the strings and none missed out ie .. 332010 or Have i got it wrong  ?...

why is it that every song i look at on this site has those stupid tabs? has no one here studied music at all? People need to REALLY learn how to play the guitar

I notice that on other sites - you tube - is just one example ... that the ones who make the stupidest comments are usually the ones who cannot play an instrument or sing or contribute anything decent at all ..... sad losers mostly .To complain about a music hobby site is very sad indeed .

I'm looking for a song where he picks up a guy on the road to the Daytona 500.  Some of the words are:  It's a long walk to Daytona.......I'm not coming back......I'm the Imtimanator.  Can anyone give me the song title and artist?

Hold your hand out naughty boy ... this should be in song requests  ( or you wont get an answer )... my last good deed of the year ... and a merry christmas and a happy new year to you all....

Not trying to be picky or anything like like that but people like churchill, napoleon, hannibal ,alexander and even hitler fought at the front at times in their lives before they were leaders.

I think a lot of the downside of radio in the uk is also ( apart from big companies making it bland with to much advertising every 4 minutes) is the fact that that every tom dick and harry can go college and then work in radio ... as years ago it was the ones that fought there way to the top. We had Radio Caroline broadcasting illegally off the coast that changed this country to allow "pop" music . Now the stations are all clones of each other with presenters sounding like they rolled off a conveyer belt .

Just realised ... or biggest radio show "plymouth sound" is closing soon ... most people wrote in the local paper saying similar reasons to what I said and are thankfull its closing down and hopefully someone will take notice  etc... so perhaps its going full circle.

The same thing can be said of a much smaller place like the uk .... with a lot less more miles to travel the music styles can vary greatly .. ie .... cornish ... welsh , scottish, even cockney styles and apologies to all the others I have left out.

I am 55 going on 56 ... am a cab driver and the last few years am always asking people to repeat themselves ( things I always used to hear ) ... I cant pick up the low notes in the voice but the high ones are ok ..... perhaps a lot to do with it is just getting old. Its either that or the devon drawling accent they speak with - I can never work out which .... but saying that , I do have a lot of trouble with certain films with to much music  over dub ... and I used to be a TV sound recordist  .. weird . No gunshots etc .... so ... old age ?

Am looking for bluegrass / country / skiffle accoustic players and a singer . An example of the kind of sound we would be after is on my website - check cripple creek.
For instance ... a bass guitar might not be needed as an old washtub with a string and pole would be just as good  ...plus washboard etc... trying to keep it simple but effective and good time stuff.

Am trying to find accoustic bluegrass /country/ skiffle like minded people in the plymouth area for possible gigs etc... you sound like the kind of singer needed.

Wish you was in Devon ..

Just checked that song out  for you on you tube ( I had to remember it ) ..... there are guys who can no doubt make a good job of that on accoustic ( on your own that is ) ... but I wouldnt recomend that for a beginner. Sounds a good one for accoustic for those with the skills  though ! You can finger pick it and add your own feel to it .. the chords are quite simple , go for it . We all start the guitar with the songs we love and move on from there . Not much of an answer .. hope it helps . Also ... a bit of picking plus strumming wouldnt be so bad - mix it up a bit ...... but dont you just hate it when a guy with a uklele comes along and proves us wrong ? lol

Various blues harps in C- D - and A.  Though not an instrument , I use magix studio 12  ( similar to audacity) for mixing and recording to either MP3 or wav format . Also a mandolin on which I know basic chords and a basic bit of picking if needed to blend in rather be lead . Accoustic steel string guitar .
