This is really cool.
Who's next on the list? who's it being shipped to?

He's THE BOMB. I've never seen anyone play like him. World class.

Yeah  no kidding. I've had my old beater set up by some guy in town, who took two days longer than he said he would ( I needed it for a gig) and it turned out crap. I did it myself at 13 years old and like it better!!!! LOL

Ok I posted them to Soundclick instead of Mediafire!!

I hope this works!

I'd love feedback, these are just rough recordings of the two first acoustic songs I've written.

oh and I'd do mp3 but it needs a converter that I tried to get and didn't work. WAV works though.... I'll take the time.

I set up a Soundclick account but I can't figure out how to post songs... any help? I'm not a computer wiz...

oooooooohhhh. I didn't realize that, like I said I'm new. I also just figured out I saved them as Audacity files, and not WAV, so if they did bother they wouldn't be able to hear em. LOL.

I'll look at soundclick!

These are two purely acoustic songs I've written, one a few months ago, and one last week.
I'm a fifteen year old acoustic/classical player, and this is very different then what I'm used to doing. Opinions?

Tumbleweed- http://www.mediafire.com/?wmjnxjnttyv

Hunting Dog- http://www.mediafire.com/?wmjnxjnttyv

Let me know if this works, I've never hosted files with Mediafire before.

Cheers!

I love it! It's true that the contrast is a little drastic, but I like the "strum shredd" thing better. almost like the first part doesn't fit as well to with the rest. But really, I love how it is. Contrast can be good.

I think reading music is crucial to be able to play with other instruments, and best for solo guitar, but tab can work too. What I don't like about tab is that it's purely geographical, and no sense of timing or rhythm. To only be able to read tab is a handicap when trying to play with others, but it's ok for solo I guess. I can read both, but I hate tab. haha

But this is from the perspective of a grade 7 classical guitar player.... though I play a lot of other stuff. I would die if I couldn't read notes....

to each his own, though, I guess.

Does anyone know how to post a WAV file recording directly to Chordie? Is it possible?

I'm fifteen.... haha sorry that was unclear.
Yep right now I'm just kinda lookin around. I played one guitar I really like, but when I came back to the store it was sold.... tongue

Yeah but I've played my friends guitar, and it suits my style perfectly. I like played Trace bundy/Andy Mckee type stuff, and then just some strumming with groups.

I was thinkin about playing some taylors... I should. Haven't really checked them out.
Thanks guys!

Hey guys,

I've been planning for a little while to purchase a new high(er) end acoustic electric, and I've been looking at Guilds. My friend has a sweet one, and I've played some I like. I don't want to spend over ... maybe $900, preferable a bit less. Anyone here own one and have anything to say about them? Recommendations? I went shopping the other day, but the only one that touched my fancy was like 13 hundred..... bit much for me and my 15 yr old assets....
Anyother brand recommendations are appreciated too!

thanks!

I always get the idea for a lyric first, but as soon as it's there it has a tune. Then I pick up my guitar, and make it up as I sing. but yeah, it doesn't really matter. I have done both...

Wow.... good song bro.  You've got some depth. You know what? maybe it is a God shaped hole... there's gotta be something out there, you and I know it. It is God. He can fill you. I know it. Ask Him!

Anyway good song, keep on keepin on. Cheers! Liked the video, too.

Learn Classical Gas. That song'll impress anyone who isn't deaf and dumb....

A            D
Another rain drop
A                                             E
And I'm still singin through the tears
A                            D
tryin' to keep my composure
A                 E                  repeat pattern for verses
for all these years
So many things to see
and none of them make sense
So I just laugh along
with practiced pretense

Chorus-
A
Take Me Back to those
D
Sunny days
A
Strawberries and fool's gold
E
Life's simple ways
A
Take Me Back to those
D
picnics in the grass
A
Smiles and philosophies
E
that always seemed to last

Another wrong turn
and these voices in my head
keep giving me new ideas
that always end up dead
Broken guitar strings
but I still know my songs
Someone please just tell me
where we went wrong

CHORUS

Bup ba da da
Take me back
Bup ba dada
Take me home x2

I wrote this a couple weeks ago, and I'm fourteen, so this is a little departure in tone from normal, but that part of the reason I like it.

CHeers!
