Hi 06sc500
I've owned both electric, electro acoustic and acoustic and the way I see it is for the amateur player the elecro acoustic is the most  versatile of the bunch.
It gives alot of the attributes of electric when set up with right stuff with the ability of taking on a more acoustic role when needed...
So if your've got little motivation for electric why bother?
My thoughts

What a way to earn a living smile looks a spectacular show Roger but highly dangerous. Ever been tempted to participate yourself..
Your upbeat song fits well to the theme of the video on utube.

Hi Roger
Sometimes when you finish a song especially an instrumental the impression you get may not be as it appears to to others so I'm glad it envoked some memories...
Your comments are always appreciated

Hi All
I know another instrumental...    http://www.myspace.com/onlyarkady
Now the waffle........
"Warpath" is more up beat can't be classed as ambient and the beat has a native Indian feel (This coming from an Englishman who grew up with westerns on the TV so my impression maybe way off)

For this one simplicity went out of the window and has 7 tracks mixing was fun smile
It's all learning curve with the new software called "Magix"

As always
Thanks for taking the time Reading/Listening

This song deserves greater exposure why don't your enter it in Ourstage and see how it does.
Both Russ and I are a bit sceptical about the way the rankings are worked out but its worth a go..
Nothing ventured nothing gained so to speak.

Hello Arkady, I just listened to your songs and I actually think they all sound good but I have to say my favorite is Arthur. Good job. Smelly about Sound stage. I actually just found out about SoundStage a couple of days ago. I hope to be adding a tune at some point in the near future.
Good job!!

Hi Stretch
Well thanks for taking the time to listen...
Your liked Authur. That's one of the rare ones I sing on if you can call it that smile so Thanks mate

With Ourstage I've not really made my mind up about the judging of the songs is it fair I'm not sure.
I've entered another song this month and have got oppinions as to the correct channel to place it before I did. So fingers crossed.. It won't be booted out this time.

You say your going to be adding a tune..What sorta stuff do you do...

Hi Roger
This is a nice song I like the way your using the chorus effect on the guitar nicely subtle.
The arpeggio Chords keep it simple and its well sung.

Got some new stuff to play with (On the computer) and Luna Spirits is the first result.
Thought I do up the Myspace page to match the mood smile

Old Town is a new guitar piece for myspace and my first foray into Videoing myself playing.

I think that Jim Morrison and the Doors where somewhat overated. Morrison dying young probally helped the mystic surrounding him.
The End a great song and used so well as in the movie Apocalypse Now. What an awesome  start to a great Vietnam War film..

Hi
If we have a set of rules or guidelines like have been put forward to bring us inline with whats the done thing in other forums.
Then I think we should have another an "Introduced Yourself" channel under a separate title. Where new members if they liked could go to get start posting etc. The rules could be a Sticky at the top.
I think this  has brought up before and is whats is done in alot forums and works quite well.
Anyway just and idea.....

Ark

I like the idea of this too.
A problem I have seen in other forums is when people go in to introduce themselves people start saying welcome etc there, then it gets all mixed up.
It would be good to have just name, age, where yer from, work as, number of years playing, what you play, how you found out about chordie.
this is possible by the use of moderaters moderating it and taking out anything that is just chat.

this could be done anytime as long as folk dont get too annoyed if they say hello to someone then find their post has been taken out. So you could have  INTRODUCE YOURSELF thread and another SAY HELLO TO THE FORUM  thread.

good idea ark but this thread is about the proposed dos and donts that james has set out.

Ken

As I guess I posted this in the wrong thread sorry Ken I just wondered what the other Chordians felt about it...

James the lyrics of this song to me could be about the dimming of the memory in old age or onset of alzheimers.
It's just what it coveyed to me.
Nice recording

Hey marcalan
Thanks for this simple piece..
I've been moving away from simplicity in my own recordings of late and Rogers statement is so right..
