Without a doubt you guys are talented! Never would have thought to do a project

like that. Right Amy-it should be in a guitar museum or on the cover of a guitar

magazine and or both.

Much better! Funny how that applause thing works Pete. I've noticed when a song
doesn't go so well most will still applause out of kindness yet it's that applause you
get when it goes real well that we want, but the more I think of it maybe it's the
desire to self express that drives me- or just be really good at something I enjoy.
Kinda like people who have great jobs that look forward to going to work each day.
I've never had one of those jobs.

Sure would like to Dino, just a matter of lining things up. There are others out here too.
Doug Smith is close by in Oregon. Who knows, maybe Dino can make it? smile       Mike

Amy- you are "somebody". You are somebody while playing and singing and still
somebody when you put your guitar down! Don't want to hear that nobody stuff.

Awesome time I'm sure. Maybe get some vids of your next get togethers.
Sooner or later some of us out here on the west coast will do the same.

Hi there Wayne, Well I think possibly a mix of reasons. For me without doubt is the
practice. Confidence building practice. Improvising on nearly any genre of music
is one of my goals. Ok-- not so much a shredder or classical, but you get my drift.

Lately I've been playing jams and get togethers that may result in the formation of
a band. In a band setting, the main reason to play has to be all of the above men-
tioned. Also I really enjoy playing and watching others having fun and smiling and
really getting into what the band is doing. ( fun to watch the ones that had too many
pulls off the bottle also wink ). Hope all is well Wayne.       Mike

Oh man! Sorry, can only hope for the best Butch. Put metal on my roof a few years
ago and know exactly how sharp it is especially a sharp cut edge.       Mike

Sounds as though you are going to have some good times with your new toys Jim!
Once again those evil, evil guitar stores have taken advantage of one of us poor
unsuspecting musicians that only want to have some fun. big_smile       Mike

I'm sure it will all work out for you no matter what although your comfort zone"
has changed somewhat. Would help out but am in Wa. state and by coincidence
I also am doing a benefit for a college scholarship fund on that same day in
Vancouver, Wa., not to be confused with the much larger city in B.C.:)  Jumping
back on bass. Our old band has been reunited after 17 years!      Mike

I second that HannahBeth, for the very same reason we have a hard time parting
with an old friend we've known a long time. We bond and yes there are memories
good and bad.   Right now I am considering parting with one of these friends, my
Aria pro II bass I've had since 86. Having played on other inexpensive models that
weigh much less, sound as good or better and are great to look at I want to sell but
there are a lot of memories and though I play guitar I've been filling in on bass for
groups getting together that are lacking a bass player and so just to fill in occasionally
doesn't warrant saying goodbye to "her". I always can find another friend and keep
the old ones. smile   mike

Another howdy from a born and raised Ohioan but living in Wa. state for 30+.
Lots of good stuff here. Fine wine Pete? I remember some baaaaddd hang-
overs on that "fine wine". ):   Mike

Sorry Pix--- hopefully it will heal soon. I've heard of the super glue trick on small cuts
but yours? Been workin on my JX and have many a cut and scrape etc. Back to the subject at hand I have been playing many songs but not really working on any serious except Pancho
and Lefty-kinda.

Agreed. Great job All1.

Hey Pete, finally got to watch a couple of your new vids. Very good! All that work
is paying off. You are way ahead of me but I am still threatening to get some vids
one way or ? We might be competing on A.O.F.I.        Mike

Hi Pakkace, welcome aboard. Many great suggestions above. In your search for

that ultra weapon to bedazzle the world with your musical expressions consider

a Crafter. My latest weapon of choice. Price is good. Quality, tone, and playability

nice. I am very pleased with my TO35EQ/N.    Good luck!     Mike

Hey Zurf, Sorry you are frustrated but give it time. We suffer from a lack of patience
Zurfwalker(good one Z !) and the better we get the more the impatience increases.
Focus on the good parts, the ones that help you improve. Your hard work and desire
has got you to this point so far and you will continue I'm sure.

I've been working on Pancho and Lefty recently. The lead lick contains a cascading
lick made of diatonic(2 notes simultaneous) run down I can play but not at the speed
needed. Like you I have to remember to go slow and gradually increase the speed.

  Good luck.  Mike

Very true Z. Is this the USof A or what are we becoming? There is possibly the
thought that Gibson is not being upfront about something but I highly doubt
   that.

Hi all, been awhile. Wow! What a story. Thanks Astro. Cannot for the life of me under-
stand what is going on in this country. No due process? No charges? Enter-seize-
threaten-etc. Casts shadows of a certain German nutcase. Lumber unions pissed cuz
they haven't been getting the "middle man" money? Maybe Gibson just makes too
much money so let's redistribute their wealth, says big brother, after all, how much
   do they really need?

Seems to me the larger the government, the bigger the brother. Hopefully this issue
will be resolved and so as it's been awhile I hope all is well, especially you guys on
   the east coast.      Mike
